Problem with memory/erasing discrepancy

I did erase all from the device main menue after having copied them to my computer, that cleared the remaining files and recovered part of the memory. Then I did reformat from the same menu and recovered the entire memory! ;)

I have connected mySony Walkman

Hello,
Are you transferring the music with the software that came with the Walkman or just Windows / Media player etc? This device may need you to use its own software in order to create a playlist that it will "see" so it knows where the music is. Some players are finicky like this.

You do not need any additional software.
When you connect the MP3 player to the computer using the USB cable, the computer will see it as a removal disk. Open this drive/disk and you can copy the mp3 music files from your computer and paste these files to the MP3 player.

I have this problem too. Found that if you go to the folder that has the music file in it, right click on each problem file and select 'open with -> " and choose Sonic stage, then it will import the file. Next problem may be that it imports it with 'unknown' as the file name but if you then right click on the file within SonicStage and select 'Get CD info' it will find it. Tedious if you have several dozen/hundred files that won't import I'm afraid...

I plug NWA3000 into the computer to change music,

Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds or Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. then us: If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.
