Once u lost ur music library in the computer u cant retrieve the data from the device. Always update the software to the latest.Dont go for the Connect Plus it stupid and u will not reach anywhere. Go for Sonic Stage is also from Sony. If u have still connecting probs data might be corrupted. Do the initialization

seems ur device library is corrupted. If u've tried all then go for the initializing its nothin but format the device. After thta reinstall the software (Sonic Stage 4.3) and do the transfer.

which softw are u using to sync? I wud suggest to go 4 Sonic Stage 4.01 or higher. cause am using the same on vista without any hasils.

just download the Sonic Stage 3 or higher ver and if u r on Vista go for 4.01.01 from any of the download sites like download.com or so.

i have brought a new mp3/mp4{s1 mp3 player} player of 4GB.when ,i made a secert space with the help of mp3 disk tool.my memory of mp3/mp4{s1 mp3 player} player 
is decrease.Now it show only 108 MB.

if the new laptop is running vista, then there is the problem. Vista is plagued with all sorts of user permission bugs. its seems that you need above admin permissions to do the most normal of things. bad software design from microsoft! vista is like going out with a super model, all singing, all dancing, looks fantastic, but after a while you realise she just a pain in the bum!

so...try right clicking the icon you are trying to launch and select "run as administrator" if the software does not run then there are two ways to cure this... the very quick way, but the problem may come back in the future with other software, or the long way, which will defo stop the issue and it ever coming back again!
the long one we will leave if the short fix does not work, so if that is the case and the short solution does not work then come back to me and i will give you instructions on how to change your user rights in vista. (this whole prob comes down to the user rights your login has been given) but we shall cross that bridge if we need to as it can be indepth.
if however you know how to change the user rights on account in vista then thats the solution, change your account to an 'administrator' in users on the laptop.

however, however... the very fast solution is this download this and install and hey presto your mp3 player and your pc are connected!

if you trying to save any kind of file like images,song,tunes probably your memory will decreased if you don't want to happen this go to settings and change memory to phone memory. but be aware if you do this your phone memory will be slow.

If you get the spinning disc error on your sony nw a1000 it means the hardrive is knackerd.
The hardrive in the sony NW A1000 is a segate ST1.2 6gb and these can be bought off ebay for around £8. If you can't find a 6gb one you can fit an 8gb hardrive BUT your NW A1000 will only use 6gb of it.

If you search on the internet you can find instructions on how to remove the back cover of your NW A1000 which is very easy to do! You then unplug the hardrive (be very careful!) and replace it with the new seagate hardrive. Turn the NW A1000 on and go to the home menu, select "settings", then select "intialize disc" and it will format your new hardrive so that it can work with NW A1000.

Using a pair of pliers grab the silver loop on the back of that player. This is pulled up and backwards at an angle. it is held on by an adhesive pad. Once that is off the back just slots off like many mobile phone backs. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

At this point, you could try getting your artist-link button back into place, or just remove it.

I really don't see any other option here. The cavity of the button is too small and awkward to yank it out from the outside, and not butcher your player's case. Good luck! And remember, if you have to open the case, thousands have done it before you!

Hi all. If you have had your players for some time, and have re-charged them many times over that period (a usual action) then your battery might be near dead.

Most re-chargeable batteries, the longer they are used and re-charged, actually decrease in charged capacity over time.

The only solution, if this *is* the problem, is to fit a new battery. Firms make replacement nw-a3000 etc. batteries for this purpose. I did a google search and found this site:
