Cannot factory reset DLink DCS-G900
i had the same problem and it was frustrating at first. You have to access your router and find the start ip address and the range and make sure dhcp is enabled. then plug the camera into one of the lan ports using the cable provided and plug the other end into the camera. then refresh the list of wireless clients in the router. Also if using a pre n router make sure that the broadcast is not mixed and is set to g mode. Only a g router will work or a router with g set to broadcast. i couldn't get the camera to work until i changed this setting. Anyways getting back to what i was talking about. When you see the list of clients you will see the camera listed on the client list. Write down the ip address example (192.168.1.108) and then on the computer (make sure you have another cable plugged into another lan port on the router and plugged into your computer) go into the dlink setup wizard. Press the search button the camera will appear on the list. Then click on the wizard and wait. It will say that the settings do not match there is an ip conflict or something to that matter do you want to change the settings click change settings and put the ip that the router configured. subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and put the default gateway of the router which is usually 192.168.0.1 on most dlink routers but on the linksys i was using it was 192.168.1.1. After changing these settings it will let you into the camera configuration and after that you can unplug the cable and wait a minute or two. the green light should start blinking showing that the camera is connected to the router. Bingo your all done your camera is back to normal wireless function. You might have to unplug and reset the camera. If you have more than one camera make sure you unplug all the other camera's before configuring the first one. This will prevent any ip conflcts. Hope this helps you.

Cannot see camera on network. The link light just keeps flasing.
If you follow the instructions the guru sent you, you will learn how to set up your camera. After reading the comments I couldn't stop laughing. You probably won't find anyone to help you here after seeing how you rate good answers. Your best bet is to just hire a private investigator.
Connecting via IP to canera
If you plan on accessing your camera via the Internet you may assign a
domain name that's more memorable than your IP address with one of a number of
Dynamic DNS online services.
You have to assign an IP address for the camera on your home or work address. This is what will allow you to monitor your camera from anywhere in the world where there is internet access. Next follow this link and find a service:
http://www.technopagan.org/dynamic/#TheList
This page has a list of almost all the dynamic DNS online service providers. Many of them are free or donation based. The ones that are free or donation based are more for people that have a strong grasp of the concept. The pay services provide priceless customer service if you are new to networking or net based video cameras. I suggest you sign up with one of the pay sites for a month and milk their technical support team. They have 800 numbers and experts that will set the whole thing up for you then you just cancel at the end of the month and switch to one of the free providers. I hope this sets you in the right direction. If you need more assistance with this or any other technical issues feel free to contact me. Please remember to rate me Fixya for this insider information.
