Hp compaq computer is showing a red light and stop booting

The most common reason a computer won't start can be a piece of hardware has failed or is causing a problem but that hardware isn't usually a hard drive, the part of your computer that stores all of your files. To fix such kinds of issue, you can take the following steps.1.create a bootable usb or cd ,there are kinds of software for you to complete this step, you can choose Fix Boot,EasyBootDisk or Windows Boot Genius. I suggest you to use Windows Boot Genius, it is easier and more effective.2.boot your computer from the created disk3.fix the issue after run the softwareBy the way, before any further steps you should make sure the power supply is good. Any hardware issues such as pc power and cable, motherboard corrupted should be troubleshooted.I don't suggest you to try the solution above until you are sure there is nothing to do with the hardware. source:http://windows-8-password-recovery.com/computer-wont-boot.html

Hp compaq d530 make five beep and red light. ichange ram but no result. i change powersuply but sam beep

Diagnosing problems with your computer can be difficult, especially if you do not have any visual cues to guide you.

Fortunately, computer makers, like Hewlett Packard, make the job easier by using beep codes that computer owners can use to determine the source of the problem.

By carefully listening to these beeps, computer owners can find the malfunctioning piece of hardware and resolve the issue.

Look for the user guide that came with your computer.

Having the user guide available will make it easier to track the meaning of the beep codes.

Most HP user guides have a section covering the various beeping patterns and what each one means.

Start your computer and carefully listen to the beeping.

HP computers use both long and short beeps, so listen carefully to determine whether each beep is short or long.

Shut down your computer and restart it.

Listen again to the beep codes to be sure which pattern you are hearing.

Write down the beep pattern and compare it to the beeping patterns listed in your HP user guide.

Restart your computer again and look for any messages on the screen.

Depending on the nature of your problem you might see visual clues, or the screen might remain blank.

Check the status of the LED lights on the front of your HP computer as it is starting up and giving its beep codes.

For instance, a red LED light often indicates a faulty memory module or an overheating processor.

WARNING: Before you start troubleshooting remember that you are dealing with electricity that can KILL.

make sure that your RAM modules and Cmos battery are securely seated

on some motherboards Cmos batteries are soldered in

Test all power and data leads that attach from motherboard to your hard drive IDE SATA

make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

if its a flat 40 pin ide it will be the first to fail

check the graphics card is seated properly with no dust in the socket you might have to remove it to check for dust reinstall it

restart your computer the found new hardware wizard should activate

a computer needs power and data to travel through every working device and to its continue its cycle and to have and end to function make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd and floppy drive have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs all electric current and computer data to travel to and through every working device and have an end to work properly so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error also check the keyboard for secure dust free connection ps2 and or usb also check the CPU central processing unit for secure dust free seating and thermal paste
