My motorola h700 will not stay in the set up mode, when I attempt to identify the device to the phone. Any one know why it will not blink blue when I hold down the main button and open the mike? tha nks
Solution 2 did the trick for me. Once I followed the instructions I was prompted for the passkey and I entered 0000, my ear piece finally works again! Thanks you!

I have two H700s, one paired just fine with my cell phone. The other one will not pair. The light will turn violet for just a few seconds and then shut off. I can not get it to stay in pair mode. The headset is fully charged, and it is a real Motorola headset as well.
It's important to note that the pin has to be entered while the light is still violet. On the phone, begin searching for bluetooth devices. With the boom closed, hold the center button until the light turns violet, then immediately flip the boom open. The phone should immediately find your H700. However, to pair successfully, you must enter the pin (0000) while the light is still violet. If the light goes off, close the boom, enter 0000, and while the phone says processing, hold the center button until the light turns violet and flip the boom open. The light on your H700 will turn blue, then flash rapidly, and your phone should say that it has paired successfully.

I just purchased a Mortorola H700 earpiece for my phone which is a Samsung A900. the directions the head piece came with do not match the settings on my phone therefore I can't seem to get it to work... What can I do?
First, you will need to put the H700 into pairing mode. Look at the last digit in the part number for your headset (there are 3 versions). If it "A" or "B", do the following... 1. Starting with the headset powered off (flip closed), hold down the Call button for 1 to 5 seconds until the light is steadily lit in purple. 2. With the light steadily lit, flip out the boom. The light should remain steadily lit in purple. If the light is flashing, or if the light starts flashing anytime before completing the steps below, the headset is not in pairing mode, and these steps will need to be repeated. If you part number ends in a "C", do the following... If the headset has never been paired with another device, simply open the headset boom. The indicator light becomes steadily lit in purple. If the headset has previously been paired with other devices, first ensure those devices are turned off. Then open the headset boom and the indicator light flashes in blue. After about 5 seconds, the indicator light becomes steadily lit in purple. And finally, you will have to follow these instructions on you A900... 1. While in standby mode, press the Menu/OK button 2. Select Tools (9) 3. Select Bluetooth® (4) 4. Highlight Yes, using the navigation keys, on the Enable Bluetooth® prompt 5. Press the Menu OK button to enable Bluetooth® 6. Select Bluetooth® (4) 7. Press the left soft key for Add New 8. Highlight Search, using the navigation keys 9. Press the Menu/OK button to begin search for new device 10. Highlight the desired Bluetooth device, using the navigation keys 11. Press the left soft key for Add to List 12. Enter Passkey "0000" press the Menu/OK button, you will get a brief message stating pairing 13. Press the left soft key for Done 14. At the Trusted Devices screen, press the left soft key for Connect 15. You will get a brief message stating connecting 16. After being connected you will return to the Bluetooth® Trusted Devices screen Hope this helps. Good luck

Does anyone know how to fix the microphone problem? I have mine more than 6 months and one day it stopped working completely. I can hear other people but they can't hear me.

I just got a new cell phone and I want to use the Motorola H700 blue tooth that I have been using with my previous cell phone, but when I go through the pairing process it is asking me to enter a numeric passkey and an alphanumeric passkey but I do not have any of that information. Is there any way for me to either use it without entering that information or obtain the passkeys that are linked to my specific headset???
The Default Key is 0000

cant find my pass key
The problem you are having with your H700 is not the passkey. "0000" is correct. The problem is the pairing process. I just paired mine after reading this with my blackberry curve.
1. Close the H700.
2. Hold the big button down until you see a lavender light.
3. Open the H700 while still holding the button down.
4. At this point it is ready to be paired. If the light changes color, the H700 has timed out waiting to be paired and you will have to do steps 1 thru 3 again.
5. With the lavender light on the H700 go through the pairing procedure on the blackberry.

Can I connect my H700 with my iPhone?
Here is a straightforward procedure to "pair" the Motorola H700 bluetooth headset with an iphone
1. Turn off the headset by folding the microphone.
2. On your iphone, go to settings-->General-->Bluetooth-->tap tp turn ON
3. To activate your headset, hold down the center button and keep it pressed while you fold out the microphone.
The iphone will immediately detect the device and state "not paiired"
Ignore this message and go ahead and tap on the headset menu displayed on th eipjone screen. You will e prompted fot a security code. Please enter 0000. The iphone will confirm that the devices have een paired successfully.
You arer done! To verify, try placing a call from the iphone and you will see a new menu on iphone asking you to choose the headset H700 or speaker phone.
Step 3 is the most important step in getting the two devices to talk.
