The answering machine out going message is a pre recorded message with a British lady's voice. We have our company message recorded as per manual, what are we doing wrong?

Marianne If a personal greeting has not been stored, the pre-recorded greeting is played. unfortunately the user manual does not say how to store a greeting but I am assuming you have to press 2 to accept the new recorded greeting and hopefully it will store the recording as it is not really explained in the user manual on the process on how to store a greeting. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg4500_en_om.pdf page 60 Are you pressing two (2) to accept the greeting after you record it ?

Message light blinking messages

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

What does a boken dialling tone on my phone mean? It is all working fine and there are no warning messages on the display.

Usually broken dial tone means the line has call-forward set. You get broken tone for 3 or 4 seconds, then goes back to normal. Are you receiving incoming calls normally? It's common to set or cancel 'cause the code might kinda match a number you use. And it may be forwarded to nowhere, example, you dial 729-1111, but press 72#-1111. You might be forwarded to 1111, the code being 72#. The 1111 goes nowhere, someone calls you, calls gets forwarded, then they get a message"that number does not exist". If that's the code for your area, then 73# might be the cancel code. Check the front of the original phone book, or Google codes for your service provider.

2 LINES PICK UP ON PANASONIC KX-TG4500

Sounds like you have the cords into the back of the phone mixed up. If you have a cord with 1 and 2 plugged into 1/2, great. But then if you have another jack also with 1 and 2, but plug it into 3/4, now you answer line 3 on second phone and line 1 lights up on first phone. Or line rings line 1 here and line 3 over ther. Gotta keep that straight and the jacks have to have identical lines.
