Look to see if your configuration settings are not for rear screen projection.

When I plug the LCD the LAMP/COVER flsh blinking red light

There is a switch or a button that gets depressed when you close the lid of the lamp compartment. See if the plastic of the lid is broken or not hitting it right. Not screwed down right or the lamp is not seated all the way down.

Bulb has gone. And wil cost about £200 to replace, could be time for a new projector

Sounds like projector lamp-try reset, or take out and put back in. Otherwise check with on-line support at sony website

I would suspect the problem lies with your cell phones network settings, but since I am in the USA I have no first hand knowledge of what the settings should be I suggest you contact your cell phones service provider and ask if the technical dept can provide the correct set up settings so you can go on the UK network.

1. Try to reset the projector to its default factory settings.
Press the reset button on the projector's remote control while the projector is on.

2. If the problem is not resolved by resetting the projector, the "red lcd panel" might have gone out.
The image is made up of red, green and blue colors layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image.

You have to manually open the projector to fix this or you have the option to have it serviced.
