You don't need a diagram of the inside to reload the OS.

First do not take the hard drive out and put it in another computer. It is configured to run in the computer it's in.

Next, you probably did have a power surge either from your power supply or the power in your home. It sounds now like your power supply is damaged.

The processor does not have any gears; the sound you hear is most likely the fan in the power supply running too high.

Taking the battery out does nothing unless you move the jumper on the rtc to clear the CMOS. You should do that. You will have to get the computer running before you can transfer via USB to a flashdrive.

Unless you know what you are doing, you can ruin your computer just by touching components or the motherboard. You need to ground yourself first and make sure the computer is unplugged from the wall.

Here is what I recommend:

1. Get a grounding strap and hook it to your wrist and something to ground it. The package will tell you how.

2. Open the computer case and move the jumper to the proper location to drain the CMOS. (There will be 3 pins, and it will be on two of them. To ground it move the jumper to the uncovered pin and the one next to it. Leave it there a minute then remove it and out it back on the other two.

3. Be certain the two sticks of ram are properly inserted all the way in the slots; do not use brute strength.Leave the side cover off, and plug the Computer back in again. You should see a light come on after a few seconds. You should also see the power supply fan on.

4. Turn on your monitor and then boot your computer. If it comes to a screen that says it stopped abnormally, choose the last known good configuration.

5. you don't get that far you have worse problems, namely the motherboard or the powersupply. If it boots you should also hear the hard drive whirring.

If you can't get it going let us know. But one thing I'd like to convey to you. There is nothing in your conputer any reputable technician in a good shop will want. Neither will he put malware on your system.

it sounds like power supply problem

if you look inside and the led lights are on in your motherboard it means your motherboard could be fried and not to state the obvious check your front power wire is attached to the inside of your casing power on switch

I am having the same problem . The system is starting up and th epc entering power save mode. I have a Hp pavilion f1503 model monitor. I hit the power off button on the power surge to shut the entire power off. I turn the power surge button back on. Sometimes it works. Or have to hit the power on button to reboot.

That is the HDD light or the hard drive activity light. There must be something accessing your hard drive. Is there a problem with the PC like slow speed or booting?

Before addressing the beep code, please unhook any devices you have plugged into the computer, such as printer, scanner, camera. Then try starting it.
According to hp that beep code is associated with a cd/dvd burner issue. Open up the computer, and pull the power cord out of it. While you have the case open, clean out any dust that is inside, overheating may be causing the issue. Place cover back on, and try starting it.
Next step is to reseat the hardware inside your computer, this involves removing components such as memory, video card(if present), and any additional hardware you may have.
Next remove extra hardware, If it is non-essential try starting your computer without it being installed.

The secret: all the wires are oriented (you cannot plug the in backward), and your replacement
power supply must have a connector for each of your peripherals.

   • If a drive name is shown but is disabled (icon is marked with a red X, ), the drive has been disabled. Right-click the drive name and select Enable . You may have to restart the computer to complete the enabling process. The drive should work correctly once it has been enabled. NOTE: If the drive cannot be enabled, a required service or driver that the drive needs is not functioning or has been disabled. Click the plus sign next to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and troubleshoot any problems found according to any error codes in Device Manager. Resetting the BIOS may also resolve this problem.
   • If a drive name is shown but contains an alert icon (an icon marked with an alert symbol, ), then use the section Using Device Manager error codes to troubleshoot the problem. You may also use the next section Disc burning software does not recognize the original drive to reset the drive configuration.
   • If the CD or DVD drive is listed as normal but your disc burning software does not recognize the drive, Device Manager shows no special icons . Windows is detecting the drive but the writing software does not. Leave Device Manager open and continue with the next section Disc burning software does not recognize the original drive .

The best way to recover the data you want is to remove the drive, install it in an external enclosure and read the file from another computer, saving them to flash drive or another external storage drive.

Try to F8 it into safe mode and check the device manager for conflicts. It is probably a device driver issue. It is a matter of finding the problematic device and then working toward a solution.
