I have replaced the black ink cartridge and it is still telling me to replace ink cartridge why
This can happen even with a new printer with original Epson cartridges with the new printer. In most cases, if you remove the cartridges and very carefully, with clean cotton material (like say an old handkerchief - no bogeys of course!) just wipe the gold contacts as sometimes they can have a tiny deposit that prevents one or more of them making proper contact with the internal contacts. I know it shouldn't happen but Sod's Law can strike from time to time. If that does not resolve the problem - return the cartridge(s) to the supplier for replacement.
Hook it up to my laptop
There should be a port located at the back of the printer where you can run one end from the back of the printer to the USB port on your laptop. Once connected your laptop should recognize it as a new device and give you instructions from there. Hope this helps good luck!

Unless you can find one on eBay your time would be better spent making a replacement yourself.Just find a piece of plastic or some cardboard and cut it to the appropriate size, then fashion a tab at one end, so it will fit the slot and that should provide all the paper support you need.If you're using cardboard, you'll want to stick two layers together to give it strength and cover it in sticky back plastic or similar so the paper won't catch on the surface.For something this simple, a bit of DIY is worth considering.
Paper won't feed into printer. Always gets jammed
you must have objects foriegn objects inside your printer. i.e. paper clip or some other object . Get your printer and move it side to side see if you can here anything moving about. once its out then perform alignment of rollers using epson maintenance menu.
