You need to open your "control panel" and from there to open "printer and faxes".After you open those, look for advance settings where you can say to the printer that the paper is A3 format, beacuase the default format of the printer i set to A4.Plase replay if you need any other help.Thanky for using Fixya!

printer hardware problem.its for formatting board problem.it is located on carriage assymbly.replace the board.problem will solve.

Follow the rest of onscreen instructions in the FixIt wizard.

Once completed, restart computer


If the problem remains, you may need to uninstall and re-install the printer drivers

Make sure your printer is the default printer to do this go to control panel printers and hardware then printers and faxes right click your printer and set as default you my be printing as a microsoft xps document

You can get all drivers and install software for free, go to HP.com and click on downloads and drivers. select the correct OS and you should be good to go.
There has been issues with older printers and newer Operating Systems, not all old printers work with new systems....
