hi,as step one of resolution try cleaning encoder strip or replace,step two try cleaning line sensor or replace it will get resolved...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Try to place and print one sheet of paper at a time.

Also some printers only support up to a limit of paper thickness.

Check your Ink Cartridge and re-install it.

You can download the HP printer drivers from their supportWEB site. Please click on this link and
select your model printer to download:- http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Now make sure if the cartridge was removed to refix so that it falls into place and slot.In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.

If your running windows 7 try this place the driver file on your desktop and right click on it and choose trouble shoot compatibility. windows will ask if you want to use recommended settings, or try additional options choose try additional options. it will then ask you if it worked on another os, choose vista service pack 2 , then click the start program button, this will start the install shield in vista compatibility mode. and follow the wizard thru the installation. Reboot and that should solve your issue.

Go to printer property and go to color calibration & alignment...

Refilled catridge is not accepting,u have to buy original catridge from the dealer/shop.
