HP Deskjet F2483

This model printer with a flatbed scanner cannot scan slides. There isnt any adapter that you can use.It would need a light source to shine through the slides to be picked up by the scanner sensor.

HP DJ F2235 doesn't have PDF option to scan PDF

Scan to PDF requires third-party software and linking that software to the HP Solution Center. The HP imaging software only saves to BMP, DCX, FPX, GIF, JPG, PCD, PCX, and TIF. You need a program like PaperPort or save the document as an image and then convert it to a PDF (using Microsoft Office, another Office Suite, or a dedicated image to PDF conversion program.)I wish that I had better news for you. PaperPort can be found for $50 from some vendors after rebate. Cindy Wells

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or
poor ink cartridge contacts.

Paper comes out incomplete and with a blue

HP printers require a certain type of paper and ink that is compatible with the printers.

Here are some print quality Issue suggestions from HP:
General print-quality problems can be solved by using the following checklist:
  1. Make sure that the paper or print media that meets the specifications. Generally, smoother paper provides better results.
  2. If a special print media is being used such as labels, transparencies, glossy, or letterhead, ensure that they are printed by type.
  3. Print a Configuration page and Supplies Status page at the device.
    • Check the Supplies Status page to see if any supplies are low or empty. No information is provided for non-HP print cartridges.
    • If the pages do not print correctly, the problem is with the hardware. Contact HP Customer Care.
  4. Print a Demo page from the HP Toolbox. If the page prints, the problem is with the printer driver. Try printing from the other printer driver. For example, if using the PCL 6 printer driver, print from the PS printer driver.
    • Use the Add Printer Wizard in the Printers (or Printers and Faxes in Microsoft Windows XP) dialog box to install the PS driver.
  5. Try printing from a different program. If the page prints correctly, the problem is with the printing program.
  6. Restart the computer and the device and try printing again. If the problem is not resolved, choose one of these options:
    • If the problem is affecting all printed pages, see General print quality issues.
    • If the problem is affecting only pages printed in color, see Solving issues with color documents.
I will get more information on this topic in a secondary post very shortly. The information was too long for one post. If this information was helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback. If you need additional assistance. Please include the model of printer that you are using.
Thank You,
Brian

Need manual for connecting fax to phone line and

Simple:

* one telephone-wire from wall-outlet to port on FAX labelled "line" or "telco";

* one telephone-wire from port labelled "phone" (or an icon of a telephone) to the port on your computer's modem labelled "tel" or "telco" (if your modem has more than just one port).

So, "incoming" telephone-calls go the FAX, to be "answered" by the FAX, while "outgoing" dial-up-Internet connections from your computer's modem "pass-through" the FAX, and to to the wall-port, and further along to the Internet Service Provider.

Hp deskjet 9650 not compatible with Vista 64-bit

Hp Deskjet 9650 printer owner, sorry to inform that there is no Microsoft Windows Vista operating system printer driver solution available for your printer. But there is an alternative way to workaround it so that you can do basic printing with your printer.

As a workaround, an alternate printer driver solution included in Microsoft Windows Vista operating system can be used to perform basic printing to the printer. However you might find that some of the product features are no longer available when using this alternate printer driver, but that is your best option right now.

The alternative HP printer driver that will work with your printer is HP Deskjet 9800.

The Next thing you do is: Install the driver for HP deskjet 9800

1. Verify that the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable is NOT connected to the printer.
2. Click Start , click Settings , and then click Printers .
3. Click Add a printer .
4. Click Add a local printer .
5. Select the Use an existing port check box.
6. In the Use an existing port drop-down list, select LPT1: (Printer Port) and then click Next .
7. Under Manufacturer on the Install the printer driver dialog box, select HP .
8. Under Printers , select the appropriate alternate driver for the printer (deskjet 9800) and then click Next .
9. In the Printer name text box, type the printer name and then click Next . The printer driver starts to install.

NOTE: The name of the alternate driver displays as the default name. Change this name to the name of the printer, if desired.

10. After the screen stating that the printer was successfully added displays, connect the USB cable / Parallel cable to the printer and to the computer.
11. On the Found New Hardware screen, click Cancel .
12. For USB connected printer, please proceed to step three . For Parallel port connected printer, please proceed to step four .
NOTE: If multiple pop-up windows display, click Cancel on each window.

Next is: Configure the printer

1. In the printer folder, right-click on the name of the printer and then click Properties .
2. Click the Ports tab.
3. Change the port from LPT1 to the newly created USB port, click Apply .

Last step: Print a test page

1. Click the General tab.
2. Click Print Test Page .

Good luck Cheers!!!
