HP color laserjet 3000n error
Thank you for the inquiry.
49.4C02 Error
The 49.4C02 error usually follows a paper jam. When the customer closes a door after clearing the jammed media from one area of the printer, the control panel immediately posts a 49.4C02 error. Often, the customer will then power cycle the printer and it will hang at Checking Printer. For the 49 error to occur, additional media must still be stuck in the paper path.
Firmware version 5.005.3 contains a fix that allows the printer to recover and notify the customer of the location of the additional jammed media in the paper path. Customers who experience this issue should update to the newer firmware. This version of firmware also fixes the issue with the printer hanging in Checking Printer.
Since a paper jam is the event that triggered the 49 error, if paper jams continue, troubleshoot as necessary.

HP 3000n Laser Color Printer - Paper is curling up
Make sure you've let the printer know what type paper you are using. In the print dialog on your PC, you must choose in the preferences area whether Plain, Photo, Glossy, Cardstock, Envelopes, etc. Such things control the pressure of the rollers in the fuser, as well as it temperature. Too hot will result in curled paper.
Also, make sure you are storing the paper properly prior to printing. It can't be too damp either, or it will curl.
Finally, if all else fails, your fuser may be overheating and need to be replaced. Hope not. If so, look for a rebuillt one online. Much cheaper than new. Good lick!
Colour problem
If the printer gives magenta instead of red you have a problem with one of the other colors. Magenta needs other colors to print red. Print a cofiguration print and check witch color is bad or missing. Replace the cartrridge of the missing/bad color
