Scanner error 5 turn off then on all in one
Remove flat bed glass take out optical scanning assembly(detach flat cabl & belt).gently hold the unit & remove bannet of the unit care fully clean the reflecting glasses with ear buds gently. fix it back & clen flat bed glass both surface with glass cleaner fix every thing back,take care of finger prints not to print on glass, check if not resolved replace optical scanner assm.Note:technical skills & patiency required to do this process ..Best of luck

If Windows 7 can't detect your printer, you can try downloading the driver from HP's website :

Direct Line:
1.Check telephone line.2.Make sure telephone line is connected in line in port not in extension.3.connect extension telephone phone to the device & check for the dial tone.
Dial the number and observe weather extension phone is ringing?
A. *If extension phone is ringing check display is there any message like "ringing".. wait till fax tone comes,if not check "basic fax settings"... if setting are OK .. Replace formatter
B. *Extension phone is ringing no message displayed on device replace "LIU" card..
If extension telephone is not ringing check telephone line..
No out going faxess:
*Check line is connected though EPABX , if connected Check..prefix setting..
*Check out going..

To connect to the computer directly a standard USB cable. To connect to a network you will need an Ethernet cable. To connect to a phone line for faxing, you will need a standard phone cord to go from the printer to a standard household phone jack.I hope this has answered your question
My HP 3055 has a
Error 79
The all-in-one has experienced an internal
firmware error.
Turn off the power by using the power
switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then
turn on the power and wait for the all-in-one
to initialize.
If a surge protector is being used, remove
it. Plug the all-in-one directly into the wall
socket. Use the power switch to turn the allin-one on.

Paper is jammed in my
The panel on the back of the printer should pop out and you can get to the paper jam throught there. Make sure you get all the peices out cuz sometimes all it takes it one very small piece of paper to make it not work.
What is the wattage of
While its' printing or copying the wattage used is about 380w.
Just in the Ready state is 14w
Power Save mode is 9w
