printer displayed no print cartridge, while a cartridge was in the printer.
installed a new cartridge and display shows the same problem
The solution above worked on my printer, without power cycling.
1. Remove all paper from the input tray.
2. Open and close the door.
3. Reinsert the paper into the input tray.
Thanks,
Ilyas

hp lasjet 3050 scanner when pressing the (scan to) button an error message appears (not set up on pc). Will you please advise.
Desperately seeking solution.
Shirley,
If your still looking for a solution, or to those of you who have a similar problem, the following fixed my problem after trying to resolve the issue over the last year!!!!
I also received the "not set up on pc" message and tried re-installing the software numerous times.
Finally resorted to re-installing windows XP (because of this and other software glitches) and re-installed the Laserjet 3050 software again...but could not get the printer to install.
The problem was occuring while the software was asking to "plug in the usb cable", but would not complete the installation. It was not recognizing the device....the solution was to reset the laserjet 3050!!!!
to reset, push the "menu" button, < (left arrow), go to "service", "enter" button, > (right arrow), "Restore Defaults", "enter" button.
This should reset the factory defaults.
After this, I re-installed software, working!!!!!

I have been unable to send faxes to different numbers for months now. I keep getting Error 344. It always sounds like HP 3050 is able to go as far as establishing the connection and then it fails.
Please help. I need this for my business and can't afford to keep running out to a fax/copy place when I should be doing this from home.
Comm Error 344 is: (Note that this is on the receivers end)
The remote machine has failed to
respond to a fax command from the
product because the connection is
interrupted.
The remote user has pressed the
Stop button while the remote machine
was receiving.
Under rare conditions, incompatibility
between the two machines can cause
the remote machine to simply
abandon the call.
This website will show you what the error codes are.

pls try to help me fixing problem on hp laserjet 3050 low on virtual memory
Hello All,
Please perform the following:
Super NVRAM init
When a super NVRAM init is performed, the all-in-one language and telecom country/region settings
are undefined. The user is prompted to set the language and telecom country/region. Until these settings
are defined, the all-in-one will not return to the Ready state.
CAUTION A Super NVRAM init erases all data that is stored in both the unprotected and
protected NVRAM memory.
To perform a super NVRAM init
1. Turn off the all-in-one.
2. Press and hold down the * and 5 buttons.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the all-in-one. Hold the buttons throughout
the entire power-on sequence.
4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.
5. When prompted, set the language and telecom country/region.
6. Allow the all-in-one to return to Ready before using it.

I am getting "memory is low/ insufficient memory" in my hp laserjet M2727 printer. what should I do?
The internal memory is full try a nvram.
1. Turn the printer off
2. Hold down the right arrow and the cancel button
3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.
This reset will clear all of your saved settings and contacts, if networked print out a configuration report after resetting the printer to view the ip address (IPV4). If the IP address has changed you will need to update the print driver's port tab and update the port.

I want to cold reset my hp deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series so I can get my printer off Japanese and into english on the menu display. Can you help me with this?
1. Turn off the all-in-one. 2. Press and hold down the * and buttons. 3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the all-in-one. Hold the buttons throughout the entire power-on sequence. 4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.
5. Allow the all-in-one to return to Ready before using it.
After following these steps the printer should ask for language when it restarts. Keep in mind you will lose all other settings you may have put in.

tricolor cartridge problem error message on HP 3050 J610
These
types of severe cartridge errors (i.e. Incompatible cartridges, Black/Color
cartridge(s) problem / Cartridge not intended for this printer, etc.) typically
indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP 61 cartridge are electrically
damaged. The cartridges electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink
cartridge are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over
time, which can lead to premature failures. In addition, the older the
cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure due to
prolonged ink exposure and subsequent circuit corrosion. I suggest you run a Tap 41 diagnostic test to
check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced service test so the
printer will attempt to send whether cartridges are good or not); Refer to
