try connecting the Printer to different wall socket or on surge socket, this could be due to low supply of electricity

check the Cables connectivity properly.

I had the same experiences before.

What I always do is I unplug the scanner's usb cable and then switch usb ports till i find which port it will work.

In some cases this solution didn't work, I replace the usb cable with a new one. I always buy usb 2.0 compliant cable.

First go to the main support site for your printer:

F4580 Support

Click on Software & Driver Downloads.

Then select your operating system from the drop-down menu and click Next.

Select Driver. Available drivers will be listed. Normally you will be able to choose from basic or full feature driver. That is your choice.

if you are not able to locate SCanning option from PC, the drivers are deleted
Uninstall and reinstall the software and drivers

also check if you are able to copy standalone from Printer, if you are able to do it, then it is drivers issue on PC, If you are not able to copy Standalone, it could be related to Printer.

I would uninstall the software/drivers and delete the printer from the printers and faxes folder (start>settings>control panel>printers and faxes) and download and install the latest drivers/software. Follow this link to get the latest software/drivers for your operating system:

Go to this link above, and download your driver, simply choose your operating system, download and install.

check is your scanner already active, if it's active try to uninstall the driver first then restart the pc, than install the driver again

Yes, either the lamp or photo sensors in the scan assembly. You need a torx driver to remove the top and back covers and check that all ribbon cables are plugged in fully, sometimes a poor connection can cause that problem.

Hi there follow the steps below.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope thats start working , if no luck then un install the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. NOw install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.
