I have everything connected properly why is my printer not working.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Some Canon printers are not Vista compatible and cannot work on Vista.

check MS Word's print setup (File -> Print Setup) and make sure it's set to the correct printer.

you can order one from HP (or bring your printer a computer store near you and have the tech find a match)

I'm a printer technician... One thing we do see all the time is color cartridges that all 3 chambers are filled with 1 color.

One way to check this is to take a damp lint free cloth (Preferably with distilled water) and blot the bottom of the cartridge and make sure you get all 3 colors to bleed through.

If you try this and still have the same issue, start with uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.

you have to choose the paper type in the printer driver option wheather envelope or A4 paper see the preview before printing

From the looks of it from HP's website, they do not have any info about this printer. Closest search result gives a notebook (V3195TU). If you have any other info, I can help you locate the drivers and any install software you may need to run this printer.

it could be a vitsa compatiblity problem,most likely u need to check and make sure its your default printer,if it is check print head on cartridge,if it sound like its printing and nothing shows up it the print head,try new cartridge.

Make sure that the USB ports on you computer are configured properly. You should try plugging another USB device in and see if it is detected.
