The frequencies are preset in the radio and it cannot be reprogrammed to any other frequencies. Is there any replacement for the rubber outer housing on my Motorola T6510 radios?

Replacement parts were never made available for the TalkAbout radios (other than the higher wattage TalkAbout Distance and Distance DPS). Your options are replace the radios, or watch for used radios for parts on ebay and other similar websites. Best regards.

My charger for my Motorola T6510 is not charging.

Check your battery contacts, both on the radio and the charger. Clean with a pencil eraser if needed. It is possible you are not getting good contact. If both radios are not getting charged in a dual well charger, you may have a problem with either the wall adapter or the base. (Assuming your batteries are good.) Wall adapters burn out over time, somewhat like a light bulb.

Replacements are available at the Motorola online store. http://www.store.motorola.com/2-Way-Radio-Rechargeable-Battery-Upgrade/dp/B003H0FUD2?ie=UTF8&id=2-Way%20Radio%20Rechargeable%20Battery%20Upgrade&field_availability=-1&field_launch-date=-1y&field_browse=2265964011&searchSize=12&searchPage=1&searchNodeID=2265964011&refinementHistory=brandtextbin%2Csubjectbin%2Ccolor_map%2Cprice%2Csize_name&searchRank=salesrank This kit contains a pair of new batteries and a complete charger.

Best regards.

How do I stop it

If you are referring to the 'roger beep' you could get following the release of the PTT. See the instructions near the bottom of page 25 of the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf

If you are talking about the beeps made when you press any of the keys on the keypad, these cannot be shut off. However, you can eliminate some of them by locking the keypad, page 20.

How do I silence the

There are two features which cause the radio to make a tone or beep, before or following a transmission: Talk Confirmation Tones (aka Roger Beep) and Call Tones.

On the T6510 radio you would hold in the + (plus) button while turning the radio on, to turn ON the roger beep. To turn it OFF you would hold in the - (minus) button while turning the radio on.

Call Tones are a little more detailed explanation. You can find directions for both in the user guide on page 25: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf

Hi,

The radio you are describing is a HT1250 VHF 5 watt with display and full keypad. This radio cannot be reset by the user. It is a dealer programmable radio requiring a RIB (radio interface box), cable, and Motorola proprietary software. Your local Motorola dealer should have a subscription to this software and be able to program the radio to your frequencies.

Here is a link to the manual: http://www.connectingyou.com/media/HT1250.pdf

I don't have the supply power cord for T6510 charger

I do believe it is a 9 volt charger. Look under the battery cover and it will say how many volts. It is probably 9 volts. Just have to find a 9 volt charger with the same plug as you have. Or contact Motorola for new one. Possibly E-bay
