This radio is one of the TalkAbout radios which uses FRS (family radio service) frequencies designed for use in the United States. The frequencies are preset in the radio and it cannot be reprogrammed to any other frequencies. Here is a link to the user guide (use the pulldown to select your model)

How do I stop it
If you are referring to the 'roger beep' you could get following the release of the PTT. See the instructions near the bottom of page 25 of the user guide:

If you are talking about the beeps made when you press any of the keys on the keypad, these cannot be shut off. However, you can eliminate some of them by locking the keypad, page 20.

How do I silence the
There are two features which cause the radio to make a tone or beep, before or following a transmission: Talk Confirmation Tones (aka Roger Beep) and Call Tones.
On the T6510 radio you would hold in the + (plus) button while turning the radio on, to turn ON the roger beep. To turn it OFF you would hold in the - (minus) button while turning the radio on.

Hi,
The radio you are describing is a HT1250 VHF 5 watt with display and full keypad. This radio cannot be reset by the user. It is a dealer programmable radio requiring a RIB (radio interface box), cable, and Motorola proprietary software. Your local Motorola dealer should have a subscription to this software and be able to program the radio to your frequencies.
