The instructions are on page 112 of the manual. Just go through the steps one by one and you'll get it.

I'm assuming you are experiencing overexposed pictures which are lighter than they used to be. You could check your ISO setting to be sure it isn't too high for the amount of light in the scene. Also, if the pictures continue to be too light, you can always lower the setting in "exposure compensation" to darken the pictures.

Two common causes, camera shake and having switched the camera to macro mode (extreme close up). Remember that you have to hold the camera still even after pressing the button, as there is usually a short delay before the shutter fires.

Otherwise it is probably a fault requiring professional attention.

There could be a firmware corruption problem for jamming... or the blurry image is either due to the firmware corruption or processor hardware problem or focusing mechanism problem... update firmware if the problem does not solve then you have to get you cam serviced....

My apologies if this message finds you long after posting this problem , but I am currently working through a backlog of problems that never got answered and hopefully this info can still be of use if not now possibly in future.

Please download Disc Digger HERE. This is a free tool you can use that works very well and there is no installation required, just run the program once you downloaded it.

Once you have connected the memory card to the computer via either the camera or preferably with a usb card reader , run the program.

On the program , select the dig deep option for accidentaly deleted files or dig deeper for a formatted card. Then select the card you want to do the recovery on and run the program.

The data will be displayed and you can recover it from there. This will only work if the card has not been used since the pictures were lost. Save the files to a location on the computer hard drive and not back to the memory card as this will overwrite the other pictures that still needs to be recovered.

Some of the properties of the files may become lost in the recovery but the pictures should be fine.

have you proove with a new card??? its possible that the card is faulty?!?!?!

You can download the software and the drivers for free from casio's website and other sites as well

p.41 of the following link describes how to take the battery out:

Open the battery door with the screen facing up to the ceiling.
Slide the 'stopper' right and this releases the Li-ion rectangular battery.
Pull it out.

recharge and replace with another battery if you have a spare.
