Format Error

This kind of problem is called "Format Error" and often happens to memory card or USB flash.

There are many reasons may lead to this. Like pull out the card without power off or fall the memory card onto the ground, even simply the card becomes corrupted.

The solution is DO NOT format the card right away, Rescue the pictures or movies insides first.

Do it as follows --------------------------------

First things first: DO NOT take any more photos with the memory card that you want to recover photos from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of recovery.

Then Connect the card to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a photo recovery utility that will recover your pictures with this software called Wondershare Photo Recovery (I once used this program bounded with some other software) from the following link(the program also recover videos and music files):

Photo Recovery Windows (if you are running Windows OS)
Photo Recovery Mac (for Apple Mac OS X)

I hope all the information may help you! Best regards

Have just taken my first few frames on a polaroid 1000 & they are completely black.Has the shutter failed & how can i fix this?

This is an old land camera. Sure you removed the lens cap? I'm not sure, but i thought on ifixit.com they did write something about a polaroid camera. Be careful, parts of this camera will work electrical, so the battery (is that with the film?) should have enough power to let the camera work correct.

On my Sony Cybershot DSC-W230, when I try to view or retrive the pictures, I get this message: Error 101-2514. Any ideas?

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

The disk is write protected

You only can use Memory Stick Duo. There is a write protection switch on the memory card, you only can switch with a sharp point. Ball point or something like that. Have a close look on the card."Memory Stick Duo", "MagicGate Memory Stick Duo" and "Memory Stick PRO Duo" are equipped with MagicGate functions. MagicGate is copyright protection technology that uses encryption technology. Data recording/playback that requires MagicGate functions cannot be performed with this camera. So if you have a MagicGate one it does not work and could give this error.

Set date pictures

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Sony Cybershot DSC-W150,screen reads turn power on and off again

You may not believe this and I hope you haven't spent a lot of money fixing your problem. I read that some people had a different error message coming up on their Sony Cybershot DSC-W150's and in order to fix it, they literally banged the lens against their knee while the lens was out and it re-focused and the error message disappeared. I tried this while my camera was doing exactly what you described above AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 2 or 3 firm blows, my LCD screen came up and focused. I can't believe it myself, but I was just desperate enough to try it and VOILA!
Good luck!!

The likely answer is NO

2. So then you replace the camera
Unless the item is still under warranty, the only economic way is Service by Replacement

No memory space, in an empty memory stick..

Go into settings and find the option to "Format" your memory card. If you cannot find it by scrolling through, look in the table of contents in the users manual - look for "format..." if nothing under format, look under "memory stick" and if it doesn't list a sub-topic of format with page # there, just go to the page it lists for memory stick, and go page by page until you find instructions on how to format.
I did a quick search of Kodak's web site and it looks like they don't have a manual posted for your model, or I'd have just copied and pasted instruction specific to your model.

This sometimes happens if you delete the folders on the memory stick or card, other times they can be corrupted temporarily or permanently by inserting/removing the memory while the camera is on. Sometimes you can do that w/o any probs 999 times, and it's only that 1000th time that messes it up. Safest to always power down camera before inserting/removing memory.
If this doesn't work, post again.
There are other things to try if that doesn't fix it, but 99% chance it will.
