The monitor has failed, it is almost always cheaper to replace it than fix it.

go to settings and find picture controls then find brightness

u would be having few buttons on your monitor to adjust the screen ,,,,press menu button and find the option there ....or it may be permanent problem due to displacement of the picture tube ....good luck

If the screen is not completely black (i.e. just very very dim, turn the lights off to see) try using the controls at the bottom of the monitor to reset to factory settings (all settings). I have had this problem with two dell monitors so far and this seems to work.

The board, with the power buttons is most likly toast. If it's not the power supply, than it's either the board or completly shorted out. Good luck.

The first thing you should do is change the monitor for another known working monitor to make sure it is the monitor that is faulty and not the video output of your computer.

it is not the power cord you should chk for th video cord. it mean there is no siginal coming from the CPU.

Make sure the second HDD is formatted GPT otherwise it won't work.
