How long have you owned the unit? How long has it been doing this? Do all other playback functions work just not record? Once I have more information I will be happy to assist you further so please don't reject my solution until we have solved your issue.

It's available only on Sony's European website.

This took a few minutes to look up becaus this is only supported on Sony's European website.

According to Sony only the USB driver is supported in Vista. None of the other software is compatible.

you can get the driver for your camcorder at esupport.sony.com under softwares and drivers.what operatung system are you using? if you\'re trying to transfer the videos by inserting the disc to your dvd drive.....please make sure that the disc is initialized.important info: you need atleast 1.5 mb of free space in the disc inorder for you to finalize it.there are still options to retrieve the videos.just please posr me a message if you\'re still confused. avaya **** maimai alovera
