hi ,first unplug the monitor both from mains and the comp, keep it that way for some time and then check, and secondly the clicking sound might be of the relays used in the power curcit, check the relays,let me know

Acer AL1916 monitor wont turn on
normally along the number keys are cymbals, you must look for one that is a wireless sign, then i think you must press a key with this key to enable it, normally its a fn key

The speakers are not supposed to plug into the monitor, they will plug into the speaker jack on the back of your computer (usually a green plug or it will have a picture of a speaker next to it)

Acer al1916 monitor goes black
You probably have a few dodgy caps on the power board inside. It's an easy fix if you are confident around electronics.
If not, pop it off to your local TV repair shop and have it taken care of now before it gets expensive with a complete failure.

I have an acer monitor model #al1916 when I turn
First, check all electrolytic capacitors and replace those which are blown or rounded. Next, if when it shuts down the green LED also turns off, then
on the controller PCB there's tiny transistor-like chip U406. Remove it from the board and try to turn the monitor on. That's reset circuit, you may live without it.

How do i set the monitor so the text and icons
go to acer website and download driver for monitor or graphics monitor. Make sure you download AL 1916W and NOT AL1916. Make sure after, you set your resolution to 1440 x 900. That should do the trick.
