Oven wont heat up, the

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. If you have a electric oven or a gas oven that won't heat or doesn't heat properly, here are some things you will need to check. The most likely cause of a oven not heating correctly is a defetive heating element. You have two types of heating elements in your oven. The bottom element(s) are the baking elements. The element(s) on the top are the broil elements. If you don't see the bright red glow from the element, chances are they are not working or not working correctly. If a heating element is bad, you need to replace the entire element. If your oven is warm and not correctly hot, one of the elements may be bad. In most ovens, when you preheat, both elements are used. This would make the oven to appear like it is working correctly but it is not. If the elements are not working, they might not be getting power. Test the wires to the elements with a voltage meter to make sure they are getting power before you decide to change them out. Many electrical ovens have a sensor that monitors the oven temperture. Ovens that have this sensor usually contain a digital display on the oven. The sensor could be defective. Those without the sensor use the basic mechanical system to control the oven temperature. You also want to check the thermostat sensing bulb. Make sure the bulb is good and has not come loose. Now, if you have a gas range oven that doesn't heat properly, first, you want to check your bake igniter. It may have burned out or it could be not working properly. It will be located near your burner. It is also possible that you are not getting gas to the burner. If so, it may be the gas safety valve or the igniter. You need to check your selector switch and thermostat as well. They may be defective. Always make sure you test the parts for power with a voltage meter of some type before you decide to change the part. If you have a part that appears to not be working, it may not be getting power because of a bad wire or broken connection. Thank you for your time and thanks for choosing FixYa.

If the fan is working o/k, then it it is likely to be the oven element that has failed.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
Please rate my solution.

Common heating faults with Bosch HBL 5052 double oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Bosch fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BOSCH element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your BOSCH fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BOSCH oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BOSCH oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

I have a integrated Bosch oven and it bleeps when I open the oven door and when it has been on for over 30 mins. What does the beep mean?

Generally it tells you that the food is cooked if the 'integrated oven has a microwave function. Or of course it is a fault. You can often fix that with a Power Reset. https://www.google.com/search?q=integrated+Bosch+oven+and+it+bleeps+when+I+open+the+oven+door+and+when+it+has+been+on+for+over+30+mins ..

Bosch single wall ovens where is the thermal fuse located

Hi! The location of the thermal fuse in a Bosch single wall oven may vary depending on the model, but it is typically located on the back of the oven. To locate the thermal fuse, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off power to the oven: Before attempting any repairs, turn off the power to the oven by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the oven.
  2. Remove the back panel: Locate the screws or bolts that hold the back panel of the oven in place and remove them using a screwdriver or socket wrench. Carefully remove the back panel to access the components inside the oven.
  3. Locate the thermal fuse: Look for a small, rectangular device with two wires attached to it. This is the thermal fuse. It may be located near the top or bottom of the back of the oven, depending on the model.
  4. Check the thermal fuse for continuity: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the thermal fuse. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting and touch the probes to the two terminals of the thermal fuse. If the multimeter shows no continuity, the thermal fuse has blown and needs to be replaced.
  5. Replace the thermal fuse: If the thermal fuse has blown, replace it with a new one of the same rating. Install the new fuse in the same location as the old one and reattach the back panel of the oven.
  6. Test the oven: After replacing the thermal fuse and reassembling the oven, turn on power to the oven and test it to ensure that it is working properly.
If you are not comfortable working with electrical components or if you are unable to locate the thermal fuse in your Bosch single wall oven, it's recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified technician. Kind regards

My Bosch oven display flickers often. Other times the clock is displayed as usual. What does this mean?

first thing I would do is check the cables that go to the clock, if they are OK then you likely have a faulty clock module which will need to be replaced.

The knob on my electric Bosch oven doesn't grip onto the shaft and keeps turning/ twisting round. the actual knob is ok and pulls off to check, but the problem seems to be with the white plastic shaft

Get some epoxy putty, grease the shaft with Vaseline, put a small pea size piece of epoxy rolled thinly and insert it into the knob where the flat part registers on the knob. Push the knob into place and leave it 24 hours to cure. I use this.

Bosch convection microwave HMC87151UC does not heat in convection mode.

The issue you're experiencing with your Bosch convection microwave not heating in convection mode could be caused by a few different things. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the microwave is set to convection mode and that the temperature and time settings are correct.
  2. Check the element: The bottom heating element is responsible for providing heat during convection mode. Make sure that the element is not damaged or burnt out. You can visually inspect it, if it is damaged it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the fan: The fan is responsible for circulating hot air during convection mode. Make sure that the fan is not blocked or damaged. If it is, it will need to be replaced.
  4. Check the control board: The control board is responsible for controlling the functions of the microwave. A malfunctioning control board could prevent the microwave from heating in convection mode.
  5. Check for a blown thermal fuse: A thermal fuse is a safety device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced.
  6. Check for a blown thermal cut-off: A thermal cut-off is a device that cuts off power to the oven if it overheats. If the thermal cut-off is blown, it will need to be replaced.
