Wont switch on
I would open it up (unplugged) and use a meter to find the problem. maybe the thermal fuse blew and can be replaced.
if that is the problem verify that the thermal switch is not stuck closed(on)
The ON/OFF button on my
It could have opened up on the contacts and so the switch needs to be replaced, As a last resort you can try using a SWITCH CLEANING OIL - use with the power supply taken off from the machine. After using the oil on the switch , try to work the switch few times so that if teh contacts are burnt and is failing to contact the poles , the oil could clean and reset the connection. If this wont work you have to replace the switch.

For Tassimo - Ican't find
I just spoke to Customer Service at Tassimo and they informed me that any descaler can be used as long as it does NOT have vinegar. It can be a liquid or powder and just follow the instructions on the packaging. Hope this works for you.

I'm not sure what the problem is but when I contacted Tassimo they told me that the machine was defective and not fixable. They wouldn't do anything because the 1 year warranty had expired but they did suggest contacting Good Housekeeping magazine because they would possibly replace or refund any defective item they've given the "Good Housekeeping" seal within 2 years of purchase. However I wasn't covered by this because I didn't buy form and authorized dealer.
