I would try opening and closing the disc enclosure latch-- this triggers the machine to re-read the barcode and start a new cup of beverage. If the machine perceives that water needs to be heated more, the yellow light to should flash and the cycle to green when ready. If the water is already hot enough, when you close the latch, it will flip right to green.

Give this a try.

Hello Margaret , Dont panic i got my machine yesterday and used twice and this happened, I just read about circuit boards ect and thought oh great but i turned machine off at wall and then turned back on pressed the one button and let it flash red without touching it walked off for a couple of minutes when got back it had turned green .... I am now sitting writing this with a lovely cuppa . I think i am going to try not turning it off at the wall just keep it on all the time and see how that goes . I hope this helps x

You have a bad Air Valve Solenoid in the air supply line. It will need replaced.

The lens on the Tassimo is plastic. Using a womans nail polisher, the soft material type (usually brightly coloured) you can get from a chemist, there are normal 3-4 polishing surfaces. using the 1st side will clean up the lens rather nicely and the other sides only improve the finish. this solution costs very little and involves about 5mins of rubbing the lens. you will see the difference quite quickly. i figured this one out myself and have successfully got my old machine working again!

Clean it, especially the window for the barcode reader

Change the element or buy new one .

I also had this problem, it was caused by the bar code reader being steamed up. Just wipe the cover of the reader (where you put the disks in) and it shoud stop.

Have you tried using bottled water? I had the same problem and found that Spring water tasted the best.

The water tank is probably not seated correctly.It can look as though it is, but you have to make sure the forward edge of it has been tilted so that the angled indentation in the plastic exactly mates with the machine.If it doesn't, water is not drawn from the tank, the pump makes a noise, and steam comes from the pod area.
