W to changebattery #65041g
Changing the battery on most watches is fairly straightforward and needs only the usual tiny screwdriver, insulated tweezers and a large measure of patience and good eyesight.
The main problem is usually opening the case and in the case of a quality watch that is guaranteed waterproof it really should be returned to the manufacturer for battery fitting and pressure testing. If testing isn't carried out after the case has been opened the watch realistically then becomes merely water resistant rather than waterproof.
Usually it is the back of the watch case that must be opened and in the case of ordinary non-waterproof and non-water resistant types it is a simple matter to prise the back off with a thin blade and then refit it with finger pressure.
Water-resistant watch cases that have a priseable back often need the back pressing back on with force supplied either by a purpose-made press or a large bench vice. In both cases adapters are needed to prevent damage to the case and the crystal.
A lot of watches have a back that unscrews and strictly a dedicated key, wrench or spanner is needed for this task. I have managed to overcome this problem a number of times by pressing other tools "that look as if they might do the job" into service. I cannot say what it was I used as I wandered around my workshop just trying things. I think the last time a particular circlip plier did the trick.
Simpler to take the watch and have someone else replace the battery I think.

How do I set time.? No manual, remote does not work.
- Buttons on the Device: Look for any buttons on the device itself. Sometimes, there are buttons that allow you to navigate through menus and adjust settings directly on the device.
- Trial and Error: Try pressing different buttons on the device to see if any of them bring up a menu for setting the time. Look for buttons labeled "Menu," "Setup," "Clock," or similar.
- Long Press: Sometimes, pressing and holding certain buttons on the device can activate different functions. Try pressing and holding various buttons to see if it triggers a menu for setting the time.
- Google Search: If you know the model number of your Ultech device, try searching online for the manual. Many manuals are available for download from manufacturer websites or other online sources.
- Contact Manufacturer: If you're unable to find the manual online or if you're still having trouble setting the time, try reaching out to Ultech's customer support. They may be able to provide you with guidance on how to set the time on your device.
- Replace Remote Batteries: If the remote isn't working, try replacing the batteries. Sometimes, a non-functional remote can be as simple as dead batteries.

Bonaire Evap Cooling - Changed batteries and error keeps flashing up left hand side of time when you push any button
If you've changed the batteries in your Bonaire Evap Cooling unit and you're seeing an error flashing up on the left-hand side of the display when you push any button, it could indicate a few potential issues:
1. **Incorrect Battery Installation**: Double-check that the batteries are installed correctly, with the positive and negative terminals aligned properly according to the markings in the battery compartment. Incorrect battery installation can lead to erratic behavior or display errors.
2. **Low Battery Voltage**: Ensure that the new batteries have sufficient voltage. Sometimes, even fresh batteries can be defective or have low power if they've been stored for a long time. Try replacing them with a different set of new batteries to see if the issue persists.
3. **Resetting the Unit**: Try performing a reset on the unit to clear any temporary glitches or errors. This can usually be done by unplugging the unit from power (or removing the batteries) for a few minutes, then plugging it back in (or reinstalling the batteries).
4. **Faulty Display or Control Panel**: If the error persists after trying the above steps, it's possible that there may be an issue with the display or control panel itself. In this case, you may need to contact Bonaire customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance or to arrange for repairs.
5. **Consult the User Manual**: Refer to the user manual or troubleshooting guide provided with your Bonaire Evap Cooling unit for specific instructions on dealing with error messages or display issues. The manual may contain additional information or troubleshooting steps tailored to your specific model.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's best to reach out to Bonaire customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They can provide expert guidance and help diagnose any underlying issues with your cooling unit.
