did you hear the sounds? or maybe you have defective power source in hot side..

if it will bring the menus up from the remote also it soundss as though the receiver has gone. Maybe that should be the tuner. You appear to need the services of a technician to diagnose. Before you do that reset the tv to factory default and set it up from scratch . Also check that the aerial/amtemma omsta;;atopm os pl.
