DeLonghi DE400P Dehumidifier - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Have a Delonghi DE 400P
Welcome to FixYa
Dehumidifiers collect the water that has been removed from the air in a collection tank located at the bottom of the unit. The tank should be emptied regularly to avoid spilling. Empty the tank before the water level gets too high. Some dehumidifiers feature a continuous drain capability that allows you as the user to install a drain hose onto the unit that will direct the water to a floor drain so you will never have to empty the accumulation tank.
Not Collecting Water:
- Check the number on the "Room" humidity display. If the number is less than the "Set Humidity" number, the machine is not drawing moisture out of the air. The dehumidifier is functioning normally.
- Increase the "Set Humidity" number by pressing the "+" button. The higher the setting, the more water the unit will draw into the water-collection bucket.
- Turn off the power and pull the filter out of the right side of the dehumidifier. Clean the filter in warm, soapy water, shake it dry and place it back in the dehumidifier. If the filter is clogged with dust, dirt and debris, air will not flow through the machine.
Start the unit on the lower fan setting, at a humidity level of around 60%.Then adjust the humidity level to normally use it.
After vacuumed the filter-not work-use fingers to pick lint off the filter, and ran a BIC safety razor over it as well, to try and get more out of the filter. You can also wash the filter in warm water, and leave it to dry over night. Don't put it back in till completely dry.

Dehumidifier is leaking rusty colored water onto
The inside of those units are made of galvanized steel. They start to rust out after 2-3 years. I know because I have one. If you have the model with the water pump there is an inline filter before the pump that will get clogged with rust. I thought it was a quality unit but it is ****!
Delonghi de400p dehumidifier does not work
if comp and fans running your out of freon or the compressor is not pumping more than likely out of freon and that means theres a leak in the sealed system high cost repair
Delonghi de400p
same thing happend to me. I wasnt sure if it was the settings or me. I unplugged it for awhile, read thru the instructions turned it back on setting it according to the instructions and it began to work again. Not sure if it had to do with the unit being off for awhile or I entered the correct settings. Im just happy it began to run again
Delonghi DH400P Discharge Hose
I have the same problem on ocassion.
I just remove and reseat again , making sure the front of the tank is flush with the unit. sometimes a little more push in does the trick
Dehumidier Delonghi DH400P not removing any water from the air
Only thing I can tell you to do is to make sure that the evaporator in the back is ice and cold. If the evaporator is not cold the unit will never remove moisture from the air. And if that is the case you have a sealed system problem. The unit may have a leak so there is no gas in it. The compressor may not be working or the humidstat my not be working properly. So check those thigs out or if its under warrenty call for service.
My delonghi dem 10 dehumidifier is working and collecting water but but the pause is continuously flashing why is this
The flashing pause light on your DeLonghi dehumidifier indicates that the unit is in a defrost cycle. During this time, the compressor shuts off and the fan continues to run in order to thaw any ice that may have formed on the coils. This process typically lasts for 10-15 minutes before the unit resumes normal operation.
If the pause light continues to flash even after the defrost cycle is complete, it may indicate a problem with the unit's sensor or control board. In this case, it is recommended to consult the user manual or contact a professional for assistance with troubleshooting and repairs.

DELONGHI DH300P E3
The E3 Code, indicates that the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned. Be sure the unit is OFF and unplugged before removing the filter. Filter cleaning should be performed at least once every two weeks, as part of Routine Maintenance.
