Vacuum was working fine now it won't even turn on
Hi,
Did the vacuum just stop dead while you were using it? The vacuum contains a thermal-fuse which will cut the power off if it gets too hot. Unplug it and leave to cool for 10-20 minutes and then try it again.
If the vacuum has already been allowed to cool and there is no power, there are many possible faults including the power switch, motor and thermal fuse. In order to determine where the fault is, you will need an ohm-meter / multi-meter.
If you've allowed the vacuum to cool and it's still dead, please post back for further assistance and let me know whether you have any electrical test equipment.

BElectric
My vacuum cleaner is giving off a burning metal
Hi,
Looks like ur filter is already blocked and needs to clean up!
Check also the dirts going through the motor, sometimes those dirts inhibits air going and cooling the motor itself!
Hope that helps u out!
What is the best way
if the hose is removable,, take it off and soak it in a sink with warm water and a little vinegar
Where can I go to

This is not an electrolux
This is intersesting. I think the fuse is simply a heat sensor. If you by pass this the only problem you may run into is if the motor over heats it my eventually burn out. However, for what you are using it for overheatin should not be an issue. This depends on the load the motor will be under. Please let me know, I am interested. Chris
My EL7020 so call Electrolux!
Check the electrical connections between the hose and the body of the machine, and also the wand connections all the way to the power head. Sometimes a faulty connection can send a false "off" signal back to the main body of the machine, and turn it off; but usually it will restart if that's the case. It sounds like you have a clog somewhere which is tripping your motor's thermal cutout, but you did say there are no clogs... so if you have full suction all the way down to the powerhead that's not the issue. You could have a faulty thermal switch, but I think the likely cause is, as usual; the sumo board.
Good luck. Sorry I didn't have a more concise answer for you.
