how do i get the channels to show on the tv while im flipping the stations.

well if you change the channel to the highest it goes some TV can be changed to a/v mode

or the lowerest number under 2 sometime a/v might be there

make sure you have the rca jack from the dvd player to the tv yellow is VIDEO while red and white is audio(doesnt matter on a small tv set like that for audio) if only one audio jack then just use the white one

We just had our set fixed for this very thing. Some advice we had was to check the set for a reset button. (Might be on the bottom of the set. But we could not find a reset button on our set.)

Ultimately we resolved the problem by calling in a Sears repairman. It was a blown fuse. It cost us $108 to fix it.

No service menu for this set. Sounds like you have a bad yoke winding on this one....accordianman

I am unsure that this is the cheapest out there, but it is factory sealed, and will end your TV Remote search. Unless of course you go out and buy a Universal Remote that allows Emerson Programming..

check the region settings pal or ntsc,also check you have a full wired scart lead,you can check by looking at scart plug if all the pins are there its full wired if not this may be problem,also try swapping the scart output socket on dvd if it has two hope this helps
