Maytag Neptune MAH7500AWW Speed Indication Error - Won't spin up...

Sorry, I cannot solve this. I just wanted to post a couple of useful tips for anyone else out there who happens to be diagnosing their MAH7500AWW.

1. You can put the washing machine into service mode by pressing the <back> and <help> buttons for 5 seconds and then releasing.
2. There is a large folded troubleshooting schematic located under the top console. You have to remove a few screws and lift it up to pull it out.

My maytag Neptune washer mah7500 panel doesn't light up, but still works

Thought it was the door switch/grounding issues/loose wire, etc. Finally found that there was a bad capacitor on the circuit board. It was a 15 cent part that, when replaced, caused all the non-start/power failure indication issues to go away. I've included a picture of the bad part - you can see the slight bulge on the top of the capacitor and a little leakage. Hope this helps. 650c7b72-0a6b-4fe3-b776-b4d9dc5589c2.jpg

My washer is just dead.

Check to see if the main panel circuit breaker is popped by switching it off and then back on again and there should be some resistance when switching it back on again. Next you would need to check the outlet by plugging something like a light that you know works into it and then check the washer plug and wire cord to see if there is a problem there and if no success there you will need some present who knows more about appliances and can check internally in the appliance.

I stopped the initial cycle after the lock was set to add one more item. Now the washing machine will not operate/ start again

This could be caused by a couple of things. The most probable is that the door switch has failed and will need to be replaced. This could be also caused by a failure of the control board, but this is not nearly as likely. Unplug unit for a minute or 2 and try again and make sure the door is completely shut. If this doesn't help, the door switch is the next thing to look at. I hope this helps.

Will not spin

Does the machine attempt to spin or wash? These are the last of the lawsuit generation where the motor control board circuitry failed, most likely blowing the fuse. Unplug the unit from the wall, open the door and remove the 2 screws on the left and right (2 will be holding the hinges on) close the door and gently tug on the top corners of the front panes, look down to the lower right floor of the inside of the unit, does your motor control board have the white or clear plastic sheet folded over it, or it is a solid yellowish plastic housing? The control board with the white or clear plastic sheet is the old style, and mote likely needs to be replaced. there is an on board fuse that will blow. The parts needed are serial number dependent, so your serial number will need to be provided. Pleazer Appliance... My Neptune does not extract

I am having the same problem, and have found that the door lock light is not on, and that the door lock does not seem to be working. This would keep the machine from spinning.
Is your door lock light on?

"Continous Unbalance"

we had the same problem. had a tech come out, he said it was the control board/motor. Never heard back from him with a quote to finish the repair (but he never billed me for the visit either, so hesitant to call him back!!), so used the 'diagnosis' and bought it on-line, $175. Husband installed, did NOT fix the problem. did more investigating on-line, decided to spend under $20 (eBay) on this: Maytag Washer Unbalance Switch #22003302 - cheaper than calling a repair person, so worth a try. Husband installed, FIXED!

My Maytag front loader washer gives an F H reading. Purchased in 2009, cannot locate owner's manual.

In the rear of the console inside is the diagnostic test sheets. They should tell you what error code means.

Washer wont drain

Clear the pump filter, normally found via the square door at the front of your washer. If that fails then your pump may have gone.

Maytag Neptune MAH8700A tha detergent drawer is filling up with water and running out of the drawer onto the floor not going into the tub.

see this causes and fix it. God bless you Belt, Water Pump If the washer won't drain the pump belt might have broken or might have worn out. Check the belt and replace if it shows signs of excessive wear. Drain Pump If the washer won't drain water the drain pump might be defective. It's also common for a small sock or other article of clothing to get caught in the drain pump or in the drain hose. Check both for an obstruction before replacing the pump. Clogged Pump or Hose If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing. Keep in mind that any water in the washer will pour out of the hoses when removed. Drive Belt If the washer won't drain, should check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't drain properly, if at all. Lid Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design. Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer won't drain the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design. Drain Hose If the washer won't drain water check the drain hose. Be sure the hose did not get kinked behind the washer. Also, remove the hose from the pump and check it for obstructions. Coin Trap If the washer won't drain the coin trap may be clogged. This washer is equipped with a device near the water pump called a coin trap. The purpose of this device is to trap any foreign materials that make their way down the drain. Normally, the coin trap can be accessed through an access panel. It is designed with the homeowner in mind and is normally easy to clean out. 10_12_2012_10_57_27_am.gif

The washer did not spin due to continuous inbalance

Check the unbalance sensor, or inertial switch, it should be N.C., or normally closed, giving a "balanced" signal back to the control board. My unit had no continuity even when there was no out of balance, or severe shaking. If you have a voltmeter this can be tested by disconnecting the wires to the sensor and setting the meter to Ohms, it should be very low, 0-5 ohms. If it is higher than this the contacts are bad. I fixed mine by running a small electrical load through the switch, a 100 watt light bulb, with power cord that I rigged up. I shook the sensor several times until the lightbulb had power when the switch was still. This "cleaned" the contacts by running the 100 watts of power through the contacts and creating a spark. Or you could jumper the wires together and see if the unbalance condition goes away; if so, replace the switch.

Washer Won't spin at full strength.

Anney, there has been so many service flashes on these Neptunes. One is the redesign of the motor and motor controller. What you are describing sounds like a defective motor control board. There are tests that can be made but you would have to know how to use a meter. If I had to make a call on this with out seeing the machine, I would tend to believe it is the motor control board. You might want to call Maytag and see if there is any service flashes that would address your problem. In looking up the model you posted, I see at least 13 issues they had in the design of this model...Catriver...post back.

Doesnt work

need more description. if it is getting power, but still appears dead, it is probably the controller board.

try to find an old radio repair shop to get it fixed, sounds like a simple power supply issue.
