Can't get the door to unlock? Load in washer is
In front loader machines there is a safety latch that stops you from opening the door if there is water in the machine. I think it needs power to release the latch, I am not familiar with this model.
You probaly need to drain the water off somehow.
Smelly clothes after washing

do one towel load without soap then cut you soap usage way back

Maytag front load mah-24. no error codes. humming
Sounds like a belt problem. you can take the back off of this machine to see the belt and the motor. There is 3 screws on the back cover 2 on the rleft as you look at the back of the machine and 1 on the right. remove these to get a look at the belt and motor.

Can you please let me know what E8 means ?
Code E on the 2400A is a Water sensor level fault.
Your Trouble Shooting guide should be behind the Kick Panel at the bottom front of the machine. See if any of the codes / procedures match your problem.

Disconnect and remove the machine to give access.
Drain the machine by holding the outlet hose low over a bowl.
You can probably tip the machine backwards onto 2 crates of food or similar heavy object, so it is almost laying down.
The pump should now be visible, and a pipe-wrench used to remove the pipe clamp and slide it back over the rubber pipe.
Then remove the pipe.
Have an old towel handy to mop up water.
Clean out the pump pipe and pump. Maybe even removing the pump.
Connect again - and compress the pipe clamp again before sliding it back. Make sure it looks right and water-tight before standing it upright again and replacing & re-connecting.
Connect power last.
Front Loader will not drain or start...
HI, check the following to address this issue.(nd=no drain)
1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).
2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line
Our front-loading HE washing machine delivers
try putting in 2 caps of a citrus or pine bleech straight in to the drum with some old rags. then select a boil wash. the rags will spray the water around the tub, the bleech will clean the tub and make it smell fresh. DON'T put any clothing in whilst doing this. if you are worried about bleech in the machine just select a rinse cycle after. i do this once every 3 months
