Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
Canon PowerShot A530 Digital Camera My problem is
Hello
If the batteries are indeed new batteries and you are continuing to get this low battery warning, there is a defect within the camera. However, it may or may not be critical.
Test out a new set of batteries, if they last you a typical amount of time, the error is a false reading and can be ignored. However, if the batteries drain at an advanced rate, there is a short in the camera and it will need to be sent in to Canon for service.
How do I unlock a
Hold the SD card so that the contacts are on the underside and the clipped corner is at the top right.
On the left hand edge of the card is a lock switch, forward (towards the contacts) is unlocked. If it's in the locked position then slide it fully to unlocked (usually a small click when unlocked). If already in the unlocked position, slide it fully to locked and then fully back to unlocked.
If this fails, the card is a dud and needs to be exchanged.
I have been trying to
What OS does your computer have? If you open the file explorer (Computer or My Computer), is the camera listed among the devices with removable storage? If it is, the problem is that auto-run has been turned off by Windows (this is a security issue) for removable media. (It applies to flash drives too.)
Treat the camera as removable media and either launch the software first and then choose File > Open > the camera or click on the pictures on the camera by opening the Camera folders. The software should launch if the default program association has not been changed. (In Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs.)
I hope this helps.

Your computer screen may need some color adjustments. Have you tried printing some of the pics to see if the color is as amazing as on the camera? Or have you tried viewing the pics on another computer for comparison?
Lens error. restart camera
A lens error can be caused by physical damage to the mechanism that controls the lens, or debris that is interfering with the operation of the lens.
This article may be able to help you with a "do it yourself" solution.
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
In the event that your problem is due to physical damage and not just dirt or debris, you will need to take it to a local camera repair shop for troubleshooting-- though with most consumer digital cameras, labor and parts cost of a repair can easily exceed the value of the camera.
I get problems with my
Hi,
It seems Zoom / Wide button got damaged and causing that problem.
I'm afraid there is not easy/ quick fix for that and control buttons flexible board will be replaced by camera repair shop because camera will take apart.
In this model, only one button works at a time and zoom / wide button in continuly sending signal to system control chip of camera that is why other buttons seems nonoperational.
Since it is an old model so I would recommend to buy new camera instead of repairing it.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.
Merory card error
This problem is so common that there's a whole blog about it here:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Canon_Powershot_Memory_Card_Error_Fix
It seems that the camera gives this error when it has problems
reading/writing the card. The fixes they suggest there are to do with
cleaning the contacts. It's pretty easy to clean the contacts on the
memory card, but much harder to clean the camera. I don't suggest
following the instruction to spray cleaner into the slot... that sounds
like a recipe for getting it all over the inside of the camera!
I would start by cleaning
the memory card's contacts. You can either use a solvent such as Methyl
Hydrate (US) (= Methylated Spirit (UK)) and a kitchen towel, or you can
actually rub the contacts clean with an eraser (US) (= rubber (UK)).
It's probably worth looking inside the camera too, to see if any of the
contacts are obviously bent in the card slot. I've seen that in a
Nintendo DS which is similar. If a contact is bent, nothing's going to
work unless you can get it back.
Cannot get the pictures to keep date and time on
The date stamp will only work when the camera's resolution is set to postcard mode. Press Func/set, scroll down to the bottom, then across to the icon with the clock and mountain. It will say "postcard". Press Func/set again. Then press Menu, scroll down to "Date stamp" and across to select date or date and time, then press menu again
