Panasonic cf-74 toughbook cannot load win xp

It sounds to me like you requre Win'XP Service Pack 3. If you are using Service Pack 2 or earlier, there is no SATA support which is why the HDD is not recognized. Get Service Pack 3 and your problems will be solved. Good Luck

Where do i attach a 802.11 g interally on a CF-27 toughbook?

Internal wireless adaptors are not made for generic use. Each motherboard used a different design to it. You will have to use a USB type adaptor.

How do i remove windows 98 from my cf27 and install windows xp

Boot up with the Windows XP installation CD (you will need the Product Installation code) then proceed to install Windows XP follow the instruction to delete the existing partition - create a new partition - then Format the partition (not a quick Format) - this will wipe the hard disk and install a clean Windows XP system.

Mouse for cf27

Any usb mouse will work. Just get one off ebay: http://www.ebay.com Click Start/Control Panel and look for Mouse. Look through it for what ever problem you might be having. If you are saying your mouse/touchpad has a problem then try reinstalling the touchpad driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Panasonic Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Touchpad drivers.

Battery problem

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Works when connected to charger but no power from battery changed battery still the same

if you disconnect the charger and the battery died then that means that your laptop battery is broken and it won't work untill you get a new one.

Does anyone know the default BIOS password for a

Don't know the generic password, you probably can get it if you contact Panasonic about this, but you can however reset the password. To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD.

Where is the ethernet cable connected to this

This is an older laptop that comes with a modem (RJ-11 on the back), not an ethernet adapter onboard. You can try to get a PC card ethernet adapter (type 2 or type 3 fit the slot) or a USB ethernet adapter. The USB port was not available on models that came with WinNT.

I wish I could be of more help.
