Top of dry is really warm to touch

You have an airflow problem check your venting, clean replace if flexible plastic or foil vent. Check outside where vent exhausts clean any obstructions. Last check your blower for damage, loose on motor shaft, broken veins or any obstruction in vent to back of dryer. My good friends just gave me a 5 yr old dryer. i installed it, turned it on, and doesnt sound like ot spinning the clothes, then it shut off after 5 sec, and it smells like something is burning. they

Musta jumped the track when you moved it or sometimes a ball of lint gets in the blower and when they get moved the lint ball shifts. To get into the dryer you first remove the door. Because the door is reversible you also remove screws on opposite side of door frame. Then you pop the goal post shaped fron panel loose using a putting knife starting up top. Then you can get the top up and remove the glide mount. Then you can remove the drum and clean her up. The fuse is mounted on the blower housing right next to the air temp thermister. Some models have another near the heater also. I have your service manual. It is at appliancejunkgoogledrive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM0raLH_-QE If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Only buzzes when trying to start my LDE7304ACE

Verify and indicate in which part where the buzz is coming from. It's the timer motor if it's coming from behind the timer knob; otherwise, it is the dryer motor at the base of the dryer.

The drum belt has slipped off if the dryer motor is the one that buzzes and the dryer blows out hot air. Otherwise, the dryer motor (part number Y303358) is stuck; replace it.

Check the continuity of thermal fuses, one on the blower housing and one on the heater enclosure, if the buzzing sound is coming from the timer motor. These thermal fuses are wired in series with the dryer motor and will make it inoperable should any of the thermal fuses fail. Replace also the cycling thermostat should the thermal fuse (part number 306604) on the blower housing has failed and the high-limit thermostat should the thermal fuse (part number 307473) on the heater enclosure has failed.

My Maytag dryer MDE5500AYW is

I had the same problem but it's the FRONT Panel you need to remove first. Before you start, unplug the thing first. BTW I did the whole proceedure in 2 minutes using an electric screwdiver / philips bit.
To open the dryer front you first take the door off by removing the two philips head screws, then slightly lift the door and pull toward you (the door hinges have little hooks on the end that inserts into the slots (this little design keeps the door from falling off during removal and install-nice). Then remove the two philips screws on the other side of the door opening (opposite the door hinges). These screws hold two plastic brackets (be sure to see how they are aligned before you remove them so you know how they go back on.

Now the front frame panel looks like an "H" . Grab the top two arms of the 'H" and give a quick pull. The top arms of the 'H" will come loose. The bottom part is held by a couple of clips, just pull up and the front panel comes off.

You will be able to see inside, you can also remove the two screws holding the top on (they are in the corners in the front) .

My maytag neptune model mde5500ayw make a sound like metal grinding, comes and goes, it looks like the felt liner in the back is loose in one area. Is this the cause of the bloody awful noise?

If the noise is intermittent then most likely the loose felt is not the best problem. More likely is the rollers that support the drum. You can take them off clean and oil with a good bearing oil and that might work or you can replace them if they are too worn

Maytag neptune dryer pf code

it sounds like you have a bad computer board if it's stuck on 19 minutes and the pf is for power failure, this is only a guess, the best thing would be to call in a tech to check it so you know what the problem is,the board is expensive or you can order the board from repair clinic,if it's not the problem you can send the board back to them.did your power go out for some reason like a storm or something?this can take out any computer boardhttp://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Main-Control-Board/33003028/1164529

Beep beep beep

Temporary Fix: unplug the dryer or cut its power at the circuit breaker panel, when not in use. If the dryer alerts/alarms are set to silent and the beeping happens when it's not in use, chances are it's the same beeping you hear when you first introduce power to the unit or press start. This may indicate a short affecting the control board. If you need to press start multiple times to get the dryer started, then the control board components are most likely starting to fail.

What's color code for wires in back of dryer

Yes, here you go.You should have 3 or 4 wires on/in the electric wire from the socket to the back of the dryer.Open the plate and look at where the wires go to be hooked on. You will see 3 screws or nuts in a row, left to right. Carefully loosen these nuts or screws, be SUPER careful not the get them too loose, or they will fall off, sometimes down inside the machine.Your electric cord has 2 hot wires, they are black and red. These hot wires go on the right and the left screws, or nuts, but absolutely NOT in the middle! The hot wires are interchangeable, the can go to the right or to the left. You should also have a white wire in the cord, and that one, which should be in the middle of a 3 wire cord, attaches in the middle. It is a ground. If you have a 4 wire cord, you will have another wire, maybe blue or green. That attaches to the case or the body of the dryer. If your dryer has an extra green wire that comes from the inside and is fastened under a screw, that is where the 4th wire goes.Be blessed.
