Maytag window units are made by Fedders. Try going to the fedders website and get their contact info and call them. They should be able to give you a replacement number or tell you where you can get one. Plus, if you have a company around you that sells hvac motors, like United Refridgeration they may have a motor for your unit. But you have to remove yours and take it to them for a possible match.
Clean unit
could be leak out or its probably empty and need to be fill it again... its not really expensive, and doing that you may need a experience aircon/refrigeration service tech.
Punctured an air-conditioner Freon line
when the freon is released from the unit, you have to repair the leak, pull a vacumm to rid any moisture in system then refill with freon,if you dont have the equipment,it would be cheaper to just replace the unit
Maytag A/C window unit
Check all of the connections at the outlet. If everything looks ok test the outlet that it is plugged into with a tester. They can be picked up at most stores for around 8 dollars. If you dont have a tester you can just plug in another device that you have into the outlet and see if it turns on. If everything checks out OK then there is an issue with the A/C unit. It could be alot of different things. My recommendation to you is if it is under warranty contact Maytag and send it in for service. If it is not under warranty you can either contact Maytag and send it in for service or you can call a local heating and cooling shop and see if they can service it for you. Keep me posted - Tech101
No power surge
first try to clean the unit, if the problem was still there and does not give a cooling, now the unit must have to be filled again with a preon, this could be nothing in there and to be replace..
Tried changed settings
yes... how old is the unit now..? have you experience a powersurge or a flactuatiating of power on your area...?
thanks
