Humidity sensor

It may be right. Are you sure you need dehumidification? Put a free-standing humidity meter near the unit to check. If you still want to run the dehum, take the humidity sensor out of the line and control the unit with a timer.

EHUMIDIFIER RUNS FINE BUT NO WATER IN BUCKET

I had the same problem and went for the s**t or bust option, worked for me.... The pipe that feeds water into the bucket had become 'silted' (clogged up and causing water to flood the floor) so I shoved a pencil up it and wiggled it about. Has been perfect ever since.

Why did it stop condensing water?

The condenser can only remove humidity if there is still humidity in the air. What's your Relative Humidity? A manual sling psychrometer is cheap enough to check it.

What is date of manufacture for Maytag dehumidifier serial AR765818 024W model M7DH45B24-A

Well my unit is a 45Pint Model M7DH45B2A - REC-CY, I searched high and low for a date but couldn't find one. It had on it, the stats, On the High side it runs 400 PSI, Low side 150 PSI. Mine does have an Energy Star Sticker. It was purchased 2005 or 06. We've only had to replace relay switch once and that was last year.

How do I empty the water tray on a maytag dehumidifier

Put machine on pause, On the front of your machine you'll see a seam that is the separation of the tank, gently put your hands on the side of the machine and you'll see and feel indentations of where you have to gently pull forward until you feel the tank coming off, make sure when you pull it is with equal pressure and you can use your thumbs to hold the machine from rolling when you take the tank off. ( it is a two handed operation), get ready for the tank coming out because depending on the amount of water in it, it may be heavy. If your still stumped, I guess I can video it being done?? Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Unit connected to drainage hose but still fills

Hi,
A few things to check... obviously if they work fine for a few years you have the knock out plug removed...

So... next is the hose... there is an algae that can grow in the hose that is almost invisible....take the hose off and run fresh water through it to make sure it is clean...

Then when replacing the hose, make sure that it runs continuously downhill and that it is not trapped... or in other words go up and down... this will air lock the hose and keep the water from flowing....

Then test it by pouring water into the bucket and making sure that it runs out...
