You should put the OS on an IDE drive. Then you can have the DVD player on an IDE controller. The SATA drives can be used for a RAID or a JBOD.

Ddr ram sdram

If you mean you want to replace DDR RAM with DDR2 or DDR3 RAM, that is impossible. MBs are designed for one type and the sockets themselves are keyed differently and use different voltages.

Overheating and shut down d915grv

CPU/ Processor resources and due to the heavy processing the PC heats up. Excessive heat up beyond usual is alarming and PC shuts down by itself when the processor/ CPU temperature exceeds the safe temperature limit. There are mainly two reasons for heat up. Heating issue generally occurs due to fan failure, which may damage the system, if not checked properly. Another most likely cause of overheating is the dust present inside the PC, which clogs the fan and heat sink. 1. Make sure the fan is running. (if not, it needs replacement)2. Clean the fan and heat sink (thermal module). Take out the fan and heat sink. clean them with the help of tooth brush and put it back.3. Also, make sure that the PC is placed in a well ventilated environment and the air flow the the PC is correct. The procedure is very simple and I believe immediate action is required to prevent any damage to your machine and data.Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!CreativeTECH

I recently upgraded my ram (2 days back) to 1gb on my intel d915gav motherboard, first it seemed to work fine, but now the Pc won't boot, with it connected?

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be even something as small as a faulty power lead or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

make sure ram modules and cmos batteries have dust free secure seatings and cmos battery has charge some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all power an data leads make sure they have dust free secure connections

cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease hope this helps

My pc mobo is intel 915gav. processor is P4 pinless running with 1 gb 400 bus ram..after a new installation of win xp i worked hours continously..but in in next morning when i turn on pc after running

HelloThere will be a thermally conductive paste [Heat sink compount], a white tooth paste like substance, must be applied between the heatsink and the CPU. It is a must. If you have replaced, or unlocked the heat sink metal, and haven't applied this thermally conductive paste, proper heat transfer from CPU and the metal heatsink will take place, and the CPU will overheat, and finally go out.Music videos are large files, which apply a great load to CPU, as processing video is a great task for CPU. Temperature must be below 40 degree centegreade, at any instant.Just unlock the heatsink lock, take out the CPU heat sink out, and apply some heatsink compound [silicon grease] and retry. If you hear a beep sound after 3 seconds or so, after swithch ON the system, you have won. OK.http://www.dataentryjobs.us/67948.html

I have installed t sound driver.. but i can hear a constant sound whenever i use it and if i talk over t headfones even the other side who is hearing me can hear the noise also... how can i solve this

the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems hope this helps
