If it is available with a mount that is compatible with your camera, then yes. Look up the spec on line.

Out of curiosity try different working memory card. See if it works with that one. If it does, then it appears something went wrong with your memory card. If it also does not work see if you can play back a file from memory card 2. If that works then it is a record issue with the camera. In any event it is not a good situation. Sony products are notorious for being difficult to fix and expensive to repair. Hope it is the memory card - they do go bad.

Is the card readable in a computer? Try a different empty card and format it in the camera and then try to take a picture. Memory cards do fail unfortunately.

You may have a bad signal to the LCD due to a broken circuit. You could ask Sony if they can fix it but if it is old not likely. There may be a third party repair service in your area that can check it out but it will probably not be cheap. If you like the camera you might be able to buy one on eBay. Unfortunately we live in a world of disposable everything so getting things repaired after the warranty is over is expensive and sometimes not possible.
