Try removing the Battery out of the camera. Then hold the Power switch on for one minute or more without releasing switch.

Try this: Main Menu -> Settings -> Initialize -> Restore factory settings

Unfortunately this is a Japanese spec walkman and there is no option to change the language!you could try to flash (replace) the firmware from an English spec walkman but if not done properly that could damage it and make it unusable!I would just live with it and possibly learn Japanese ??
