Maytag MER6769 Gemini Electric Kitchen Range Questions & Answers
Display panel control
I had the same problem with my Maytag range. I pulled out the stove and unplugged it. I took off the back panel that protects the digital panel that controls the oven. There was dust all over the electronics. I got a can of compressed air that is used for computers and blew all of the dust out. Plugged the stove back in and it has been working fine since then. Dust can create static electricity. The replacement panel is $300, plus labor.
I CANNOT TURN OFF THE "LOC" MESSAGE
Hi,
Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from
the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory
default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged
for a considerable period of time (a couple of
hours). Of course doing a hard reset erases all glitches as well as
user settings and configurations, the unit will revert back to factory default 9assuming no hardware fault).
Maytag Error Codes:
LOC - this means configuration setting changes will not be allowed
F9-1 Latch lock upper
F9-2 Latch unlock upper
F9-3 Latch lock lower
F9-5 Latch unlock lower
F9-6 Latch both lower
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
After a short power outage,
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. After looking at the wiring diagram for this unit it looks like the only thing that can be happening is the relay on the control/clock is fused closed thus energizing the heating element. Bad thing is this part is about $360.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..
We cleaned the ovens yesterday
pull the oven out disconnect the power cord remove the back panel and you should be able to see what arched after you remove the panel also check each element when these go the tend to make the pop noise as well if you heard a pop you will see an area that is either blackened or scored from the burn of the unit arching check the wiring if you dont see any area blackend make your way up to the power board and inspect this also Message me back with your finds have a great day Rick
F-2 code displayed with beep went off
Hello there:
This error code is telling you that the oven is getting too hot and the sensor is unable to read it
meaning at lets say you have it set to 400 degrees and it is heating up it will continue to heat up to about 550 degrees and will thus produce the f-2 error code
The only way to fix this is that the electronic oven controle temperature sensor needs to be checked with a ohm meter it should read (should
be 1100? ) on the temperature sensor if not replace it if this is good than you will have to replace the electronic oven controle itself ok?
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Mike
No lights on the control
I would check the wiring first. Look for any loose connections to the board or any burnt wires. If all that is good you have no choice but to replace the clock.
Maytag stove mer6769baq trips the breaker whenever plugged in
It sounds to me like there is a short circuit either in the plug or the connections at the stove. It could also be within the stove although that seems very unlikely. If this happens when your using the stove, the breaker and circuit could be undersized (required breaker size-50AMPS) Check all wires and the breaker.
