Shift key not working
It's entirely possible that the keyboard may be defective out of the box. But just in case, see if you can try cleaning out that portion of the keyboard, on the off chance that debris may have snuck into the key area. Use a can of compressed air (and be careful not to get any of the liquid duster gas in there, as that could potentially damage the components). If you have access to another computer though try using the keyboard on that computer as well, see if it's specific to just your computer, or the keyboard itself. If the shift key works fine on another computer, then there may be something goofy with your keyboard and/or language settings (Check your Control Panel and just review your settings to make sure you're using the proper layout for the language you wish to use). If the shift key still doesn't work on the other computer though, then I would bring the keyboard back along with proof of purchase, back to where you bought it from and have them replace it with a new one.

I just got the Microsoft
According to the product compatibility specifications, the mouse you purchased, is, indeed compatible with Mac OS X v10.2-10.4 (excluding Mac OS X v10.0-10.1). Now, if you have a newer MacBook, you may be running Leopard and that is not included in included in what they say is compatible, nor is it excluded as they mention earlier versions of Mac OS X will no work. My thinking is that your mouse should probably work Leopard. After all, there is an Intel processor in your computer, and Microsoft in the past, has had a symbiotic relationship with Intel.
Even if it was incompatible, it should definitely turn on - even if it wasn't going to work properly. Compatibility isn't a factor that should affect whether it turns on or not.
It is my overall assumption that your mouse is bad. You may have just picked up a defective product by a fluke. It happens! I would exchange the mouse as soon as I had the opportunity. If it were me, I'd take my computer in the store, that is, unless you purchased it online - and try the mouse right in the store to see if it works. If it doesn't work, get your refund and move on to another brand.
I would suggest seeing what Logitech has to offer or perhaps, MacAlly. Good luck!!

Lost a Word font on my Mac and I can't get it back.
If you have already tried the common troubleshooting steps with no success, here are a few additional suggestions:
- Clear font caches: Font caches can sometimes cause issues with font recognition. To clear them, follow these steps:
- Close all applications, including Word.
- In Finder, press Command+Shift+G, then enter "~/Library/Caches" and click Go.
- Locate the "com.apple.ATS" folder and move it to the trash.
- Restart your Mac and check if the font now appears in Word.
- Check if the font is disabled in Font Book: Sometimes, a font may be disabled in Font Book, which can cause it to not appear in certain applications. To check and enable the font if needed:
- Open Font Book (you can search for it using Spotlight).
- Locate the font in question and ensure it is enabled (unchecked fonts won't appear in applications).
- If it is disabled, check the box next to it to enable it.
- Repair disk permissions: Although less likely to resolve font issues, repairing disk permissions might help in some cases. Here's how to do it:
- Open Disk Utility (you can search for it using Spotlight).
- Select your main disk (usually named Macintosh HD) from the list on the left.
- Click on the First Aid tab, then click the "Repair Disk Permissions" button.
- Wait for the process to complete, then restart your Mac and check if the font is now visible in Word.
- Create a new user account: In some instances, font-related problems can be specific to a user account. Creating a new user account and testing the font in Word under that account can help identify whether the issue is related to your current account.
If none of the above solutions work, you might need to seek further assistance from Microsoft support or Apple support, as the problem could be related to a software conflict or compatibility issue.

Where is the pairing button on Microsoft wireless keyboard 6000 v3.0 or does it need a USB plug
The Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3.0 comes with a USB transceiver that you need to plug into your computer's USB port to connect the keyboard to your computer. The keyboard and the transceiver are pre-paired from the factory, so you don't need to pair them again unless you replace the transceiver or the keyboard.
If you do need to pair the keyboard and the transceiver again, you can follow these steps:
1. Insert the USB transceiver into your computer's USB port.
2. Turn on the keyboard.
3. Press and hold the "Connect" button on the underside of the keyboard for a few seconds until the green light on the transceiver starts flashing.
4. Press the "Connect" button on the USB transceiver.
5. The green light on the transceiver should stop flashing and stay on, indicating that the keyboard and the transceiver are now paired.
Note that there is no separate pairing button on the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000 v3.0 itself.
hope it would be of use to you

How do I fix my computer?
Download a fresh copy of MS Edge, or better still, Google Chrome. Edge is very basic and not user friendly. You don't mention the computer make and model and what the original operating system was and what you have on it now. Depending on the age of the computer and what OS you had on it, there have been huge patches and service updates that have basically given uses a new operating system via 'update' downloads. If you had an early version when Edge was new, it was very buggy.

Can power saver be turned off ?
Yes, you can turn off the power saver feature on your display. The steps to do so may vary depending on the brand and model of your display. Here are some general steps to disable power saver on a monitor:
- Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings".
- In the Display settings, click on "Advanced display settings".
- Click on the "Monitor" tab and look for a "Turn off display after" or "Power saver" setting.
- Change the setting to "Never" or disable it completely.
If you are using a KVM switch, it may also have a power-saving feature that is causing the display to power off. You may need to check the manual or the manufacturer's website for information on how to disable the power-saving feature on the KVM switch.
If you are using the Microsoft Win 10 "project" feature, you can adjust the display settings by following these steps:
- Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings".
- In the Display settings, click on "Project to this PC".
- Look for a "Turn off display after" or "Power saver" setting and change it to "Never" or disable it completely.
These steps should help you disable the power saver feature on your display and prevent it from turning off. If you are still having trouble, please provide more details about the brand and model of your display and KVM switch, and I'll do my best to help you further.

Windows 10 Enterprise Account Disabled Error
There could be several reasons why your account has been disabled. One possibility is that it may have been disabled by an administrator on your computer or network. Here are some steps you can take to try and regain access to your account:
Try to login with another account: If you have another account on your computer, try logging in with that account and see if you can access your disabled account.
Contact your system administrator: If you are on a work or school network, contact your system administrator to see if they can enable your account.
Use the Windows recovery options: You can try using the recovery options built into Windows to restore your account. To do this, restart your computer and press the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears. Select "Repair your computer" and follow the prompts to restore your system to an earlier restore point.
Use a password reset tool: If you are unable to log in, you can try using a password reset tool to reset your password. You can download password reset tools online or use a built-in tool like the Windows Password Reset Disk.
If none of these options work, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

How to fix Microsoft Outlook Password reset not working?
ask MS yet, ask them if is a microsoft email account?
examples. (some of many)
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
step one is to go to your webmail first, not outlook
see if web mail works first, online and directly. (windows 10 are you)
outlook version not told
if web mail access fails, then that is the problem and fix it there first.
Outlook is a email client APP
try web mail. first. if that works then correct our credentials in outlook next per the web mail instructions to do that.
next time tell you webmail server name. like this
@live.com
see????? no account prefix told,
tell that or get no rational answers.
