Hi,
You have a bad ignitor to your oven. Part number you should replace is 12400035. This should fix this problem. Just because it glows does not mean it work correctly, it works off of the flow of electricity rather then the glow of the ignitor.

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Did you clean the cook top or spill something? If the switches get wet they will click untill it drys out. If not then one of the switches failed and would need to be replaced. Its the switch that sits on the burner valve.

Hello, Did you clean the cooktop recently? Sometimes water or cleaner can get into the spark switch causing it to spark untill it dries out. The same if a boiling pot spills. If none of those happened one of the burner switches is bad.

In that case the air-gas mixture is off or flows very slowly. Try to light it up with a match - if you can't then you will have to adjust the mixture from the burners by moving the sleeves. If you can light it up but the flame is very weak then the pressure regulator has failed and it must be replaced.
In either case i recommend that you call a pro, if you can't do a perfectly safe job don't touch it - you don't want a gas leak in your house.

It is unfortunately impossible to find this manual, especially the repair manual. The manufacturer has been gone for decades. The only chance of finding one would be if someone happened to have one lying around in their garage. I am so sorry about this, you may need to just replace the unit. These very very obscure ovens even at the time, so the chances of finding what you are looking for, or even finding someone that can work on the oven will be next to impossible.

I am so sorry about that, but there is no way anyone here can find this information.

Just because it glows that does not mean it is not bad...
The ignitor is not working right and is going bad....
have the repair man replace the ignitor, or DIY....

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F 1-7 in your Maytag indicates keypad disconnected. To start with check the wiring between the keypad and Electronic Range control (ERC), if still the issue is not resolved then you’ll have to replace the keypad. Hello there

You may have a problem with the range's gas flow. If you smell gas coming from the range, make sure that all pilot lights are lit (if applicable) and all of the controls are set to "off."

If you can still smell gas, the range could have a leak.call the gas company so that they can shut off the gas to your home. After that, call a repair person to inspect the cooktop for possible gas delivery issues.

you did not give us a model # but most maytag 's use a stapr moduel and 4 burners with ignitors built into them . if your burner is gray then twist with a rubber strap wrench and 1/4 of a turn and it is loose . lift it out and unplug the hi voltage wire. ( yellow or blue . reconnect it to the new burner and install it . hope this helped mm . feed back pls ..
