Dooe handle fell off

The screws are generally accessed by removing the insert in the front of the handle. If the holes in the door have enlargened, move the handle a couple of millimetres so the screws go in new holes which you can drill in the door.then refit the insert by snapping back into place.

Does the compressor kick on and off? Do you see any ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer?

Water dispenser runs on its own

Well, try disconnecting the wires to the water valve. If issue continues, likely dirt is in the valve, clean or replace it.If the issue stops, check the control switch and it's adjustment.

I have a water leak that comes out below the freezer door ,i have changed the master solenoid and the coupling at the bottom of the door ,i removed the ice bin to watch the ice maker dump and refill t

yes check the drain, it is located in the freezer under the evaporator at the bottom you may hae to remove the back panel to get to it...hot hot water is the trick to remove the clog..just make sure you clear all the ice and water away or it will freeze again..

Maytag MSD2651HEW refrigerator not cool, freezer works fine. If open both doors, feel cold air blowing in refrigerator side

try keeping the freezer door shut while felling for cold air blowing over to refrigerator side..if so problem lies in the thermostat...its not sensing the correct temp for the fridge side and closing the damper too early...also check to see if there is frost built up on the back wall of the freezer section if thats the case then you are at the begining stages of a defrost issue and soon no cold air will blow over to fridge side..let me know what you find

Runs for a while then stops

most likely is the condenser fan is not running. that is the fan next to the compressor at the bottom in the back. if your compressor is running and the fan is not, you have a bad motor. replace it

The refrigerator side of my Maytag, model MZD2766GE, is warm. The freezer is working fine. I feel cold air coming out by the crispers at the bottom but no cold air coming out at the top. HELP...Sin

If sounds like the top cold air tube is frosted up. If you remove the rear shield over the evaporator coil you will see the tube opening. If you use a hair dryer (not of the hottest setting) and blow hot air down the tube you should be able to clear it.

I heard a pop from the kitchen and then I went out there was a burnt electric smell. We saw that the refrigerator/freezer was no longer cooling. I turned the thermostat all the way down and then back

With the presence of a "burnt electric smell" and the "pop" I would be inclined to check and see if the start capacitor had not destroyed itself.

Refrigerator side doesn't work

Your refrigerator has a auto damper that opens and closes to regulate temperature inside fresh food compartment I will ask you to test if you cannot find ice building on freezer wall or ice blocking vent where the air from the freezer side comes through to refrigerator side. If you see no signs of defrost problems you may need to consider testing the auto Damper Part 61005971 Auto Damper Control sea_breeze_263.jpg This is the most likely answer yet there can be another reason for this so make sure vents are not blocked by obstructions top and bottom of refrigerator. I will not be able to post links on this response after this post but may be able to answer if Fixya contacts me with a response from you (I Think Not) Fixya has a new Beta Site this post may show up in but if not you can reach me HERE or of course here on Fixya and my websites. Click Here=> How to Test an Auto Damper Please rate if helpful and shouild you need answers or manuals please let me know, Thank You, Sea Breeze
