TURNS OFF ITSELF
Good day!!!That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..1. Open the back cover of your TV.2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
High pitched ringing sound from my tv
It most likely is coming (based on model number listed here) from the high voltage transformer---ways to silence that up to and including replacing that part.
My Rca 52 inch has lost color But If I set the feature
PIP means the set uses either two tuners or a dual tuner--could be a issue with the tuner. If it has a swap feature in the PIP use it to see if color when tuner is switched from main to PIP tuner.A possible way around the issue is to look to see if rear audio/video inputs have color---you could route signal from a box etc to one of those and BYPASS the problem if rear inputs do not have this problem(not likely they will).
My RCA HD52W59 problem
set is prone to two problems: high voltage splitter at front of set behind speaker grill arcs-------also set does have parts on HV board that do the same thing---HV transformer feeds voltage to the splitter.
Menu box keeps popping up pushing clear or the menu button only stops it for a few seconds
Keyboard issues and answers:A problem that is more common than most people think is anissue with buttons on the controlkeyboards of modern TV sets.Recently for whatever reason I have seen more questionsabout this so I have composed this answer and solution for these kinds ofproblems. It can be any button on the set-channel up/down or volume updown-you name it.The symptoms are the same: channel will scan up or down andwill not stop-remote control has no effect on this---It can be channel, volume,or even input or menu if the set has those up front or on the side of the set.All these push controls have something in common-beneatheach is a tiny momentary push switch-when pushed with the plastic button itperforms a specific task (vol up or down etc.).What happens is the afflicted switch beneath the plasticbutton is bad-when released it is supposed to stop its function but does not.Keyboard or button controlled features have PRIORITY over the remote control, hence the remote will not stop this fromhappening. Both the remote and thekeyboard go to the microprocessor in the set but keyboard is first in line. How to resolve this issue?Someone needs to get at the tiny pc board with the buttonsand locate the one associated with the issue (ie sound or channel etc) andunsolder that switch from the board-usually just two pins (may be more formounting only purposes) and then see if set does not have the issue with switchout of the circuit. For the TECH minded with the board out test here theswitches with a ohm meter set to high resistance-any reading with button notpressed means a bad switch-seen ones that read 5,000 plus ohms-it may benecessary to unsolder more than one switch to locate the offender here but an open reading with switch not pressed is therule.I have taken the time to compose this answer as some do notunderstand what is happening in these types of situations---No magic wand orsmoke and mirrors here-have to disable the offending switch to know. The beauty (in my view) of this kind of problem is if found, you really do not have to replace anypart-just operate the set with the remote with one button that no longerfunctions on the set itself-who could ask for more? RCA r52wh77 not powering on
common issues include bad connections at and around the flybackbad flyback is not unknown and or shorted parts on same board.High Voltage Splitter with can include charred part near Flyback.set has the 3 strikes rule---it will attempt to power up three times and if fails shuts down. Not easy sets to work on as most parts are RCA only.
High voltage splitter
On the RCA indicated it is located behind the front grill unit under the screen; entire front below screen has to come off and an inspection plate behind that also---splitter is almost dead center behind the inspection plate---one large red wire from rear of set and 3 more red large wires that go to the 3 tubes====block is mostly tan in color but can be other colors.
Hd52w59 wont turn on
If you can get at it this set has a high voltage splitter up front (remove entire front grill beneath the screen and the inspection plate behind that) that also fails---it is usually tan in color and has a red HV lead coming from flyback to it---three wires there go to the picture tubes--just remove the one or two screws that secure it and look at the bottom for any burn marks or signs it has been arcing.
