sounds like the cP150, CP120 and CP114 capacitors need replacement. You can get the CP150, CP120 and CP114 repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions.

replacing your main board should correct this problem.

Recheck ur FBT,resolders,Might have Convergence prob.relaced the FL231 fuse in the middle out of three near the FBT.

Where the power cord comes into the set--the most common issue with this set is bad solder connections under the High voltage transformer.see photo of this (typical one) part.

Its a convergence problem and common on this set, resolder under the high voltage transformer to start.

This sounds like your picture in picture feature is enabled or turned on. There is a button on the .ca remote that says pip or you may find it under the menus

Just to clarify .Are you hooking up through the tv or the analog tune?

Your set doesnt have STK ICs. If the convergence adjustment option has disappeared from the on screen menu, then replace FL231, DL231 and CL230 If the adjustment option hasnt disappeared from the menu then you need to check the resistors on the convergence power supply board some of those will be open. The actual convergence Board will usually not develope problems just the Convergence power supply if the convergence adjustment option is still in the on screen menu.

The model listed here does not have a conventional convergence circuit with output chips.This model is well known for this problem. Usually first thing is to look to see if Convergence still appears in the customer menu--three parts available in a kit cause it to vanish from there.A protect part, diode and small cap. Other common issues are bad and broken solder connections under the high voltage transformer(the parts mentioned above are right in that area also)If the convergence option is still present but not helping I would remove that board and look for the bad or broken solder connections under the transformer(see photo of what typical one looks like).see the pins at the bottom that solder thru the board.

Look first to see if the convergence option is still in the customer menu, if not 3 parts around the high voltage transformer for this are available in a kit----also around that transformer on the bottom this set is well known for broken and bad solder connections which cause a lot of problems.

If it's a flat screen, you may be looking at a bad power supply. Today's HDTV's usually have nothing more than a power supply and a small circuit board to drive the screen. You may be able to order the part from the manufacturer, but out of warranty, it may cost a pretty penny. The same thing happened to me with a Vizio HDTV, and when the tech arrived, I knew exactly what he had in his box. Even he didn't know which it was and had to replace the circuit board, he admitted if that didn't work, he would install the power supply. If you get a picture, your circuit board is likely okay, but if it just shuts off, check that you don't have too many devices plugged into an older outlet, if that's not the case, Power Supply would likely be the culprit.
