Screen blank green light flashing

It does the same when attached to another PC? Video cable is good?
If it is the monitor problem, then more likley to have bad caps in the power supply section, look for caps with domed tops first.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I have a samsung syncmaster 204T monitor.

I just started having the same problem! The green light flashes, but the monitor is blank. None of the button work (menu, source, etc...) and nothing changes when I disconnect it from the computer. I was suspecting a bad graphics card at first, but now I'm thinking the monitor itself is bad?!

Samsung synmaster 204t "green board"

Most likely, this is an orientation sensor.
The monitor supports a "MagicRotation" feature, which automatically switches between portrait and landscape mode when the screen is rotated. I think the part you damaged is a mechanical orientation sensor required for this feature. This would explain why it had a loose metal ball inside (shorts two contacts together, depending on the orientation).
So I guess, you should still be able to use the monitor without the sensor. Uninstall the "MagicRotation" utility (if you had it installed at all) and set the orientation manually.

How to fix pink colur screen on sync master 794 mg samsung

The connecting cable or the video card would be the first suspects. Try a different cable to connect the monitor first, if there is no change, the video card in the computer would be second to look at. Can simply connect a different monitor to your computer to troubleshoot this. If the testing monitor works, it will be the graphics card that is the issue.
