Respected sir, I have a samsung

Try using a different HDMI cable. If issue persists, try using the DVI port and a DVI cable. If not then try removing your video card and just use the on-board video option of your PC. If issue persists, try a different monitor.

Monitor gets fluctuations

Hi, I strongly suggest you get the customer services out again as quick as you can this has faulty screen. Don't let them fob you off tell them it's still under warranty since their engineer came out to fix it this sounds like a faulty printed circuit inside the monitor. Please leave me feed back: Malcolm Campbell, Thanks.

Samsung 540n TFT display comes for about 15 sec.

gptajipcf, When very strange things start to happen with LCD DISPLAYS the first place a Technician will investigate would be the monitors "switch-mode-power-supply" and it's "inverter" supply that supplies 800-1200vac to light up the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" that provide "WHITE LIGHT" for the LCD panel. I recomend a visit to YOUTUBE so you can find and view some video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" and find out if you think you would be able to repair your monitor or have someone else do the work for you. You didn't tell us if the unit is still covered by warranty??? Check with Samsung about doing a CASH+OLD for a Refurbished same model unit. Also visit ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm for more info on what may cause your monitor to do stupid stuff as you described above. I hope this info was of some help to you. If so please rate this response on fixya. 12fixlouie Bye for now.

There no diplay eccept lots of blue, red, green lines on the monitor, please help

Try another monitor if it works the way it should then it's the other monitor. If the result is the same reboot the computer in safe mode by tapping the f-8 key when you see fhe first splash screen choose safe mode. If it still messed up then you have a graphics problem. Take the computer in and have it tested. Terry

Check signal cable

This messsage is usually displayed when the Monitor is unable to detect any input signal this can be due to the faulty cables (VGA/HDMI). I suggest you to try to connect a different cable and check if the monitor works. If not then update your video drivers.

Power is on but no display picture my lcd

If the power is present then you need to follow the schematic to check if the +B to the circuits are in order. check the inverter section for supply as the back light could have failed. Also you need to check on the main board for leaked capacitor which can be anm indicator. The reason for loss of picture can be several as if there is no visible failures the board has to analysed with the schematic.

PROBLEM WITH LCD MONITOR SAMSUNG

It more likely to have bad caps with domed tops in the power supply section, very common problem in all LCD TV and monitors.
See examples here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/SAMSUNG/
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

It keeps swtching off

Hi Anthon,

This is an indication of out-of-regulation in the power supply section. The very common caused of this fault is the dried/leaky electrolytic capacitor in that section. It will drop the supply from normal voltage and will disable the unit. Sometimes it has a bulged/dome at the top but not all, it is better that you have a capacitor checker/tester to determine its condition. Also, bad solder joints can produce the same symptom, it is hard to spot, you should use table lamp/portable lamp for finding the cold solder. Another reason of the symptoms is the open fuse/fusible resistor in series with the output of regulator IC/transistor, shorted/openRegulator IC/transistor, shorted zener diode(all are in the power supply section) and the microcontroller. Best that you check the output voltage of each regulator to determine where the fault came from and narrow the job.

If you don't have necessary tools and test instruments, and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a professional to troubleshoot the problem. Don't attempt to work in the power supply if you don't know the safety precaution of handling it, there some stored electricity enough to hurt you with a little mistake only.

Also check if your unit is under warranty /extended warranty, avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free. Don't open the back panel, this will void the warranty.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for using Fixya.
