When turn on monitor screen flickers
Hello,
This usually indicates a power supply that is about to fail. Heat buildup in the
monitor case causes parts called capacitors to overheat and blow out.
Check out our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm
We have pictures of what the blown capacitors look like. Open the back
of your monitor and look for the blown caps. Replace all the ones that
look like the ones in the pictures and you should be back up and
running. We are working on a step by step repair guide that should be posted on our site by the end of the week. The values you need to get are going to be marked on the sides
of the ones you take out. Be sure to reinstall the new ones with the
polarity stripe going the same direction as the old ones come out. You
can order replacement parts from several places on the internet or we
can supply them for you. You will need to use high temp caps that will
be marked 105c, these are not available from Radio Shack. If you use
ones that are not rated correctly then you will have more issues in a
month or two. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a
repair service for $35 plus return shipping.
I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

My samsung 245 monitor needs cleaning and
Either buy a monitor cleaning cloth, or use a soft cloth with a little bit of lighter fluid. The lighter fluid will evaporate, so don't worry about getting it off after you're done.

Flashing Blue Power Switch. Unit Will Not power
Hello,
The flashing light is caused by the power supply not starting right. Because of heat build up in the monitor case parts called capacitors have blown causing the power supply to fail on start up so it keeps trying to restart. If you can solder you should be able to do the repair yourself. Go to our web site at :
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures. Open the monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and you should be back going again. Be sure to replace the blown caps with high heat rating units rated 105c. These are not found at Radio Shack, you will have to get them from a supply house or the internet. We carry them in stock if you need us to supply them for you. Be sure to resolder the replacements with the polarity stripe going the same way as the old one comes out. The values you need will be marked on the sides of the ones coming out. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 + return shipping. If you have additional questions just contact us at our web site.

Power light flashing
Hello,
It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors
will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called
capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are
good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work
fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and -
connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the
same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.
I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
